(SIDE ORDER SPOILERS!!! well, sorta) The outfit on pearl can be seen as marinas pc wallpaper while shes explaining the origin of the world of order. Its nice how even though they didn't use the outfit, it still managed to show up somewhere and somehow!
The amount of detail in the world of Splatoon is so mind blowing. I really love how there are even complex details in areas you barely see unless you're really looking. It really makes the game world feel extra lively!
i own the book myself and i love it to death, but reading the book as you do has truly helped me appreciate how much effort went into the art. thank you for this!!! also just a neat little detail i wanna point out that you didn't, at 15:38, in the open locker, you can see haikarawalker, which is the octo expansion artbook!! (i would know, as i own that one too eheheheh, i actually own all 4 artbooks)

Totally not salty over how Shiver didn’t have the concept art versions of design 😭 I know the devs wanted her to appear elegant, but you can be elegant and fierce with an edge at the same time tho 😭 I loved art books with concept art since Hyrule Historia and I love this one too. I gotta get this book someday for reference for future art and learning about the artstyle

for the squid that's breaking her ankle she isn't squids and octolings are made out of soft bone like tissue that can be broken but is hard to be broken and again they dont have bones i hope thats helps! :)
