I recently specified a 4x140hp Eurorack modular system using mostly Behringer ARP 2500 modules. The recent price drop on these modules made this system affordable for me. Here is my first published generative soundscape with this new system.
Been trying hard to acquire a few of these modules, but they are impossible to get right now :( hope availability improves soon!
Right. I had to backorder and wait a month or two, depending on the module.
I have never played on an original 2500 (..few have..) I have played, own owned nearly everything else including ARP 2600, Jupiter 8, 6, moogs (most I don't like) etc.. I bought 2 two of the behringer 2600 VCO's to go with the VCO's Pittsburgh Modular, Dreadbox, Cre8audio etc.. from the demo's I have seen the 2500 has a unique "carnival" like sound in my opinion which is hard to describe..
Norm, Playing with a vintage 2500 is on my bucket list. I may have to get up to the EMEAPP museum and book an hour on their system. emeapp.org
BTW, the highest/thinnest voice is the 1047 Multimode Fitler with the AM1047K keyboard percussion. I'm just pinging the filter at high resonance. That output gets processes through the 1005 ModAmp where it is modulated by a pulse wave from a VCO. This gives it some grit/buzz when the 1005 is set to Mod. I'm doing this manually from time to time in the video.
Hey OZ, terrific new system. I am jealous! There are a few modues I don't recognize . I see the AMSynth modules. The price drop on these modules is significant and I am planning on beefing up my 2500 and System 35 to a 55 also. Very inspiring.
Thanks Tony. I hope I'm not being a bad influence :)
Makes me miss little baby brother Odyssey!
Jeff, You should drop by some time for a quick tour (and jam).
wow awesome
Thanks. I've been dreaming of a system like this for a long time.
Nice patch. I could listen to a much longer version.
Cheers ✌️
Thanks. I enjoy listening as background music as well. How long would you like it to be?
@@ozhalljr oh 10, 15 minutes easy, and that on loop. You could fill an album.
@@TheDavidPoole David, thanks for the feedback. I may record something in that range just for my on background music, before I unpatch it.
Sounding great! Also, love the look of this case, snazzy (140 HP, so jealous, that's huge)! Wish I could make room for another mix sequencer. Not gonna happen though, also two rind mods - that's one of my favorite modules from the series. Keep the demos coming!
Thanks! I'm hoping to do a quick overview of the method behind the madness. I probably spent 12 or 15 hours on modular grid deciding what to get and how to organize the modules.
@@ozhalljr it's ridiculous how much time i spend on mod grid, i can relate lol I was thinking about getting the extra sequencers or the preset voltages but i have an SQ1 so I might be cheaping out haha it's the same thing, will maximize my set up with the new EGs and the new 1006 filter possibly.
@@TheMachinesWon Let me know what you end up getting, if anything.
