    I purchased the Express Pot because the company is well established. I did not realize there was a difference in the pans until I heard it mentioned in another review. I am sure both Crock and Instant Pot are fine. I have heard people say good things about both of them, so either is probably a good choice. The reviews do seem to favor Crock Pot though.

      I'm so glad. I received a Crock-Pot as a gift and I love it but everything on UA-cam refers to an "Insta Pot" even when I type in brand name Crock-Pot pressure cooker.
      It's so sad because it just tells the generational difference that some people don't understand proper grammar and even though a Crock-Pot is generally referred to as a slow cooker, (because that used to be only brand of slow cookers) people forget that Crock-Pot is actually a brand name and NOT a device/tool.

    I've only had my Instant Pot for a month, and I've never had to "monkey" the lid on. I don't know what you guys are doing, but just paying attention to where the back of the lid lines up with the left hand side of the condensation area, and turn right, and you're on in no time!

    the 1 thing that WASN'T mentioned here.... Is, you CAN'T slow cook for hours with the instant pot.. it's NOT made for that! The crock pot unit IS however made to slow cook for hours like it's former units. This is seriously something to consider! You CANNOT leave your instant pot running like a set it and forget it kind of thing where you CAN do that with the crockpot unit. and secondly, it is stupid that that the instant pot doesn't come with a non-stick insert.. why would anyone go with a stainless in such a thing? i mean really...

    • @applegal3058
      @applegal3058 2 роки тому +3

      I personally wouldn't buy a pot with non-stick as standard. The only non-stick cookware that I own are frying pans to cook eggs and fried rice on. Everything else is stainless steel or enameled cast iron. Stainless steel is so much more durable I've been using my stainless steel pot set for 20 plus years now, and have had to replace non stick pans at least every 5 years. I use an SOS Apqd or Vim to scrub the stainless pots if something is hard to get off.
      Luckily there is options out there for every preference.

    I have the Crock Pot multi cooker, and will be purchasing an Insta Pot multi cooker as soon as possible. I've used the Crock Pot brand version for a solid 2 months, very carefully according to manufacturer directions, including not touching it with any metal, for at least 5 meals each week. There is deterioration of the non stick surface on the bottom, a metallic odor inside, and scratches where the lid meats the pot, which seems like a planned design flaw, since the gasket should be a buffer between lid and pot. I'm very sorry I purchased the Crock-Pot brand multi cooker.

    Man, you are inviting some serious hate! I went with the Crock Pot Express primarily because it was still $20 cheaper at Walmart and I'm not sold on how much I will use it. I tend to agree with much of what you said, the Crock Pot has the non-stick out of the box, and if you treat it right, it will last you the life of the machine. Just ask my 5 year old rice cooker still rocking it's original non-stick pot with nary a scratch! And the controls are intuitive and easy to adjust. Overall, being able to cook a turkey breast from frozen in 1.5 hours (total prep and all) is simply amazing!

    I love my CrockPot multi-cooker; same as in the video). I am a man, originally from and from Wisconsin and later Minnesota, living in the south, but I still make winter warmup foods. Winter drys out the air so I don’t mind adding back humidity in the winter. Also there something comforting about having the kitchen filled with the smell of bone broth chicken, pot roast, etc when it’s freezing outside.
    I tried my son’s Instant Pot and burned a shrimp dish I was making. I likely misunderstood the controls, but that’s kinda a problem with the unit right (?), like I said I’m a guy, and we don’t need no stinking directions. 😎

    just buy a pressure cooker and a slow cooker, ends up being cheaper and better products for those purposes; you'll probably end up buying them anyway when you come to this realization

      @@Reviewedcom Please watch an award winning documentary called "Bag It" there is scientific proof that heating plastic is extemly toxic. It puts hormones in the body which leads to cancer and obesity. This is why young girls are menstruating at 10 years old. This is why little boys are chubby, have boobs and have their penis's shrunk. These extra hormones give women endometriosis, it gives grown men boobs and shrunk penis's. Thus documentary is on Netflix. EVERYONE knows how toxic heating plastic is so why is Crock Pot so many years behind? Please anyone who reads this do not but this product buy the Insta Pot brand because the inside is not plastic. You never ever want to eat or drink anything that is heated in plastic.

    Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!
