    Noraly, you are not alone, for as long as you have the “hello internet” connection , there will be many thousands upon thousands of decent people spread over many countries, who support you, and would answer any call for help. You have inspired us all through this sharing of your experiences, and we would repay our gratitude if called upon. But we know you are resourceful too and would find solutions. Anyway, it had to be said. Thank you for sharing your travels with us.

    So a buddy of mine trailered his Beemer to my place over 7 hrs. He arrived at 1130 we celebrated our friendship to 3AM. We had a small ride day following. Then set off down Skyline Dtivs from Front Royal to Charlottesville in VA USA. Stunning weather. So lucky. Day 2 came back to DC. We were exhausted. Gave us new love and respect for Noraly who rides, films, edits and repeats from India to Iceland.

    FYI: The reason you find ”an american diner in the swedish countryside”, I guess is the wide interest in the area for american vintage cars (from the 50’s/60’s). In Rättvik there’s yearly events called ”Classic car week” and ”Big Lake Run” and the area is absolutely packed with visitors with classic cars, although this year it was less ’cause of the virus.

    So two things: The 50s diner in Rättvik is probably something sprung from the week in the summer where classic american cars come to parade and show off in Rättvik. In Sveg you missed the bridge that is a combined railroad/normal road combination. But on a motorcycle you get to see some cool places I havn't seen even, so ty for sharing.

      @@zoom5024 Actually, she is already north of most of the wolf area in Sweden. But, this is indeed bear, lynx and wolf territory, but they are extremely shy and will not pay a visit. But in northern Sweden, moose hunting begins in September, so what she really should beware of are crazy hunters. They shoot at everything that moves, cows, horses and even tractors are accidentally shot every year.

    • @Jack-yl7cc
      @Jack-yl7cc 4 роки тому +1

      @@zoom5024 I have come across all of those and more walking out in the wilds(although not in Sweden) and all of them either ignored me(bears, wolves and those stinky Moose's) or actively avoided and moved away from me. But at the same time, that was not during the spring time when they might have younglings with them and are more prone to attacking any and everything to protect their young; that is when I am actively trying to avoid them as much as possible instead of the other way around. In fact one of the more annoying things about Moose's is that during winter time they like to walk on the freshly snow plowed roads instead say off in the deep snow, out in the woods; so they can be a driving hazard and annoyance to get them to move out of the way. Moose's can also have a bit of a short temper so the real trick is getting them to move without making them want to attack you.

    • @Jack-yl7cc
      @Jack-yl7cc 4 роки тому +2

      @@Justfun-nk3vj Where I am from, we call "hunters" that shoot at everything that moves(or even doesn't) as having "buck fever". They so badly want to successfully complete their "hunt" that they will completely forget their fundamentals of shooting, safety and sometimes outright fabric in their mind that they "saw" something which simple wasn't ever there. Nothing is safe from those type of people.

When you drop the bike it's always a cheerful "Whoops!" and all your little cheerful Mmmm's and Arghhhh's as you ride along negotiating all manner of roads and trees and bushes! Us guys would be cursing and swearing and blaming the bike! There is definitely so much to teach us guys in your riding style and attitude to all the little problems encountered. The girl does good and the boys can learn from her! Thanks.

    Brave girl camping next to the water. They must not be any 'noseeums' in Sweden. Definitely would not want to do this on the West coast of Scotland. You would have provided a banquet for the mosquitos and little wee bitey things in the night. Very jealous of the empty paved roads you are riding. Difficult here in the UK to find really quiet roads. Just added the TET to the bucket list. My recommendation for tyres is make sure they are black and round and you're good to go.

    Walking through similar forest and brush in the USA I would have been apprehensive about rattlesnakes. None in Sweden. Those tires should be fine for the bike until you get to a shop later down the trail. Dunlop tires are very hardy in my experience, even when the tread is minuscule. I can't fault you for being cautious... you are still unscathed after so many miles of adventuresome riding. Please come do the Trans America Trail sometime. I've ridden it twice, once each way. Great fun!

      European vipers are the only venomous snakes here in Sweden. But they are a very unusual sight. And they are not deadly. Well maybe if you are very old or very young and don´t get medical treatments. They always lay under some stones. Just stay away :-)

    Hi Itchy, I am curious when you finally come to Poland. There are regions similar to Sweden as you showed, but it is a bit warmer, and also a lot of interesting things to see. And it is a very safe country, if you now thought about it. I could personally show you or advise to some interesting wild places in nothern Poland, and also in the mountains. Don't hasitate to visit also balticum countries and Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and last not least, Romania.
