In fact Walton's Partita is a total rip off of Roussel's far greater Suite. Roussel's music has never been as popular as his more famous contemporaries Debussy and Ravel, but I think he's just as great and original.
@@remomazzetti8757 Roussel was absolutely brilliant, and he certainly deserves the same recognition as Ravel, but Debussy is head and shoulders above any of his contemporaries; he was pretty much a genius, a term I don't use lightly, of the same calibre as Bach, Beethoven and Wagner, and I do believe that he is still being underrated.

This is a really fine performance. It should really be a lot louder and more rambunctious, though.
