Sending you so much love. I've lost a lot of people recently, and its hard and it aches. I nearly lost my mom 3 years ago last month (she was 53 at the time), and i had to take care of her for 4 months while she recovered and was able to leave bedrest. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Giving you hugs from western Canada.
What kind of concerns me is that we just got a new 3D Zelda not long ago so this series will be pretty absent on Switch 2 apart from remakes filling the gaps
My guess is a port of ww hd and a remaster of tp hd at launch, then a new 3d game 2-3 years in the console’s life span, considering totk is already a year and a half old already
@@Braxton_Hafley_1124 This is very likely as there were leaks we could have got it this year so its possible they decided to hold back for the switch 2 so there would be a graphics upgrade over the Wii U and not just a simple port.
If we don’t get Switch 2 announced until 2025 the console isn’t coming until the 2nd half of 2025… Quite likely a Late Summer or a fall release I’d imagine if no reveal until 2025
I'm still on team October for the reveal, the week after Mario Party or the last week of the month. Way too many signs point towards a imminent reveal, most notably the evidence that mass production is starting either this or next month. If Nintendo doesn't reveal the device then chinese factory workers will do it for them. Either way, by November 5th we will have heard or seen something, thats when they have their financal report and there's no way investors won't bombard them with Switch 2 questions and Nintendo declining to comment, there isn't much topic left to discuss anyway when they didn't even do a September Direct to show off any big games for the holiday and early next year lol.
As for the financial report, Nintendo has no obligation to answer any questions after the first quarter of the fiscal year. They can simply ignore any questions and say that we will reveal when we are ready. I do hope it doesn't come to that and the system is revealed by the end of Halloween :)
@@commonwealthrealm If they want their stock market price to drop 10% that day then yes, they can freely decline :). Go in, talk about Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and Alarmo for an hour and call it a day, what can go wrong :)
While there is SOME logic and reasoning behind the idea that they could reveal the Switch 2 sometime in October (especially during that Playtest of the secret Switch 1 NSO service); there is also the same amount of logic (if not more) for the reveal of it during the time frame in November as you suggest. Unless this secret playtest is for the streaming of Switch 2 games on Switch 1; which allows for the purchase of cloud versions of the games; which then transform into Digital versions of those same games when you buy a Switch 2 and sign into your account; then October could still work. IF this service isn't something along those lines; then November may be the reveal.
i don't think the test is for that, legitimely what interest could nintendo have to get ppl to play games on the older instead of the new one? just bc xbox did something like that doesn't mean by anymeans nintendo will do that

It was a third place finish. That is a big failure for Nintendo. Plus they only sold slightly over 21 million Gamecube systems. Only Wii U sold less in Nintendo’s TV and handheld console history.
I predict that if the Switch 2 is revealed in 2025 Nintendo will do the same thing they did in May they'll announce at their investors meeting and through a tweet that the Switch 2 will be revealed in February of 2025 and a few days later they will have a Nintendo Direct showcasing games coming out for the Switch and Switch 2 in 2025 they could also tell us the name of the system in that investors meeting
nintendo LITERALLY told us there would be NO switch2 announcements until the end of the current fiscal year!......which is 2025!!!!!! GEEZ!!!!! why would they sabotage their Xmas holiday switch 1 sales with Switch 2 distractions????!!!!! DUH!!!!!!
The more time that passes the more I am convinced that nintendo cancelled the switch 2 and is too complacent with the success of the og switch to admit mistakes happened.
I still think they can reveal the Switch 2 this month or next month after Mario & Luigi Brothership release but if that doesn’t happen, i think it would get revealed in January next year
*I believe Nintendo has more of a success rate for revealing within a rumored window than Nvidia. So, I believe Nintendo won't have any delays vs. expectation.*
While the Switch 2 will certainly output a 4K image (& likely feature 4K UI elements in games,) I think it would be foolish to think it will render games in 4K with DLSS at 60fps. DLSS adds extra latency time to generate a frame & any game outputting a 4K upscaled signal would likely be limited to 30 FPS. Even this is optimistic, and 4K would be very expensive on the CPU / GPU. While the latency is less than natively generating a high resolution frame, it still has a computational cost & will lighten the GPU load with an increase on the CPU load. I’d expect games to be upscaled from 720p to 1440p-ish with a dynamic resolution at 30/60 fps depending on how CPU intensive the game is. This will still look pretty good, especially from a distance using a TV with the 4K HUDs & UI. Maybe some switch 1 games & indies will hit 4K 60, but don’t expect this for current gen games. What will be exciting is that the 12GB of LPDDR5X ram will allow for much higher resolution textures & animations, further draw distances, and faster loading (also due to having more CPU cache and a better SSD) These things will be WAY more noticeable to people than resolution. I just hope we get an option for like a 900p / 1080p 60fps performance mode & a 1440p / 4K 30fps quality mode.
For most games this is a good expectation, 720p to 1440p with DLSS in docked and some lower resolution with DLSS to 1080p in handheld mode. The 12GB is the minimum this console would need to have to last it to 2032, with 8GB it would have the current switch problem of third party studios not having enough ram to port their games in the second half of the consoles life span. The option to have quality or 60FPS would certainly be good, this will depend on how good the CPU is though. With the Xbox one X, games could run in quality or performance but due to the weak CPU, you were better of in quality mode as the performance mode was mostly the same but with worse graphics.
Nope. Not October. Late Feb or front of March. Launch is July or August. The reason for this is so Switch 1 and Switch 2 sales are not on same cycle. Nintendo doesnt want this because switch 1 and 2 are same eco system and each console will not be against each other. Also switch 2 on a summer cycle will increase sales of diffetent months on year over year cycle
Nintendo won't reveal the switch this year, it will be revealed on January or February and released on late March, that if the switch becomes the best sold console in history, if it doesn't I expect the switch 2 to come out in November or October next year
I don't think Nintendo expects a successor reveal will significantly change affect the Holiday sales of the Switch since it's already on a decline. Since it looks like production of the new console is starting soon Nintendo has to reveal it soon if they want to get ahead of new leaks.
If we try to coldly analyze the situation from Nintendo's financial perspective, they have everything to lose by announcing a new console now and until Christmas. Nintendo has just released a new Zelda, a brand new Mario & Luigi is coming, as well as a new Mario Party, and Donkey Kong Country Return HD is expected in early 2025. Nintendo's current situation is still largely profitable thanks to Switch game sales on a base of more than 150 million consoles. This is not comparable to the situation in October 2016 when the Wii U was an industrial disaster for Nintendo. I think Nintendo will communicate on the new console in 2025 for a release at the end of the year.
At this point, I don’t believe anything would happen this month anymore… Releasing the console between this two "major" games? Maybe mid-November? It would be too late after that, so… February? 😢
