So basically here's most of the things I've learned about bleaching since I found Brad a few days ago: ● Don't wash your hair for several days before bleaching so you have natural oils to protect your scalp. ● Choose the level of developer correctly (depending on your current hair color and whether or not you've colored and/or bleached your hair before). ● ADD ENOUGH PRODUCT TO YOUR HAIR. ● Bleach doesn't lather (obviously). ● Use smaller sections so the bleach can cover every strand (think of the consistency of thick, creamy toothpaste). ● Do the roots last because they process quicker because of heat from your scalp. Stay about an inch away before going to the roots. ● Make sure the bleach doesn't dry out. ○ Use either foil or a plastic bag to cover the hair. ○ Potentially mist it and blow dry it from far away to create steam. ● Leave the bleach in long enough but not too long to avoid further damage. ● Don't brush your hair until the bleach is washed out. Start with a wide-toothed comb. ● Use toner, not another color of dye. ● If you're just lightening your hair for a different color, you don't need toner. ● When washing the bleach out, BE GENTLE WITH YOUR HAIR! ● R E A D A N D F O L L O W T H E I N S T R U C T I O N S Let me know if I missed anything oof P.S: my hair is now bright purple

thicker and curlier hair takes more time and effort to get through, but its still just taking small sections and making sure theyre saturated. my hairdresser said he used different volumes of developer on each side of my head bc of the time it took to get through it, but idk if thats something they do for most ppl or not.
Cool Moth yes! when i do clients, whether their hair is curly or straight, i use a different volume of developer in different sections! for example, i would use a higher volume once i was almost done foiling so it could become even with the other sections quicker 😊
That would be really great! Because I wouldn't say that is the same as it is for straight hair since you got a massiv amount of curly hair and that is probably not the funniest thing to bleach.

I also used a toner and purple shampoo. only bleach the tips of my hair never the roots.

i WISH i had recorded when i bleached my hair yall. i used box dye “bleach” like 4 times then box dyed it brown bc it was orange. then a week later i 40 volume bleached my hair with stuff from sallys and bleached it twice in a row and made it pink. the hair gods mustve blessed me bc my hair was fine after, like not great but fine. brad u wouldve been amazed.

i WISH i had recorded when i bleached my hair yall. i used box dye “bleach” like 4 times then box dyed it brown bc it was orange. then a week later i 40 volume bleached my hair with stuff from sallys and bleached it twice in a row and made it pink. the hair gods mustve blessed me bc my hair was fine after, like not great but fine. brad u wouldve been amazed.
Man i used box bleach once and my hair didn't feel or look good again until i cut it and started over. It wrecked my hair, and i followed the directions perfectly.
