I remember listening to maiden when I was 11 or 12 years old and being blown away by Nicko's drumming. From then on I wanted to play drums. Still one of the best. A great drummer. 🤘
And that ladies and gentleman is why this album still kicks arse like the day it came out. Top notch songwriting, playing and recording. Nicko is a wonderful player, and couple that to Steve's bass playing - and you've got something in a class of its own

I've never heard anyone, not one person ever say Nico McBrain was underrated in the entire 52 years I've been here. Countless heavy metal and hard rock drummers have all praise Nico McBrain as one of the greatest heavy metal percussionist of all time and he has inspired young men and women to become drummers themselves. No, underrated and Nico McBrain shouldn't never be used together in any conversation ever!!!

There's a huge difference between "rock" and Heavy Metal just as big of a difference as fire and ice!!! Calling Iron Maiden a "rock" band is like comparing a 1976 Pinto to a 1976 Mustang Gt.!!! Saying Iron Maiden is "rock" music is blasphemy!!!

Nicko is a magnificent drummer.. absolutely the greatest as a drummer and as a human being.. Comment apart, the vocalist sounds like a mix of Ronnie James Dio and the Accept original vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, but with flu..LOL!!!

Amazing, he's using the floor tom to replicate the bass guitar, no wonder Maiden have such a powerful sound with that kind of pairing happening.
He's got his sticks back to front too, so it has a less sharp sound.
@@surfdigby Reversing the sticks creates a louder, more aggressive sound on drums. It's not 'less sharp', at as far as drums are concerned.
