That first Carp was total nuttah! Excellent stuff. Some stunning lookers here. Top angling. Your correct about that re-cast trick, force a re-inspection often gets the result.
Thank you Iain. With that first carp I missed a chance early on to net it then it realised what was going on and went wild 😜. You picked out the main point of the video, being able to watch what’s going on is the only way to know when change is needed. It has happened too many times to me for it to be coincidence
Thank you Peter kind words. There’s no better sight than fish feeding in front of you in clear water gets the heart racing. Make sure you try it out next year you won’t regret it. In fact it’s rather addictive
What's the rod you use for stalking please, and your mainline as the hit and hold tactics are brutal on ones tackle, brilliant compilation of clips ,some awesome fishing, happy days, cheers Craig
pagan outdoors thanks Craig, I didn’t realise how hard that first fish was to land till I watched it back. No wonder I had to take a breather at the end 😂 I use a 2 and 3/4 pound test curve daiwa powermesh 9 ft rod and 20 lb hybrid line. Very strong heavy and wiry
thanks again..do you fish at range at a1 pitts as most of your catches are margins takes , do you use same rigs or adjust accordenly as to what bottom your fishing over,
James Greensit thanks mate, I try to make stalking videos I think it’s more interesting to watch, in that situation I will always try to put the rig where I can see it so a stiff rig or German rig is what I would use always with maggots unless the perch are an issue then probably paste. Pits 1-4 lend themselves to margin fishing being smaller people can cast anywhere and generally do unfortunately so the fish get tucked in the edge. Pit 5+6 are much bigger and fish can go and sit in the middle out of range when it’s busy but during the week or heavy wind they will get very close in as you can see on my film pit 5 banger. Pit 3 is very weedy in summer and has silted up more over the years and I find lends itself more to helicopter rigs as over time the lead sinks. using safety lead clips I feel the rig gets pulled out of shape as this happens. Pit4 is different very little weed hence more gravel areas lead clips are fine. I have fished pit 6 years ago at very long range with pva bags and had success, but it’s hard work if there’s a wind on. I found on pit 3 last year when fishing further out that wafters or bottom baits we’re getting takes when Ronnie rigs were left untouched. Good luck with your fishing when we finally get back👍
