I love that he dead ass heard platy say “let me and tay do it” and he deafened, said “nah” ,then came back and acted like he didn’t hear anything. Someone arrest this man.
Actually, the slipper change in Wizard of Oz happened because the fact that the film was in color was a _huge_ deal. That's precisely why they made Munchkin Land so over-the-top bright and colorful; they wanted the first scene to feature color to have a major impact, basically like a giant _"LOOK AND BE AMAZED, BITCHES."_ In a similar fashion, they wanted the slippers to _pop_ on the screen. Silver doesn't really do that, hence why they changed them to a nice, vibrant red.
@@IsThatAShortJoke somewhat yeah. Coloring film was a pretty expensive process at the time and the wizard of oz was the biggest movie to date that had been made and was going to be done in color. When it is a story about a magical fantasy land, they wanted to make it SEEM so magical and fancy and special. And color would do that. Films largely in black and white, and the few color films you may see were still not vibrant. But then BAM first film many see in vivid powerful color, is in this magic land of Oz. It was one of the first films done with technicolor, most certainly the biggest. And it actually helped serve narrative purpose. In Avatar, the 3d was not really a functional component of the narrative to the experience. It was a wow factor and a technological marvel. But color was a big narrative component as part of the story in the Wizard of Oz.
Three things you can always count on with Chilled: 1. Chilled getting pegged. 2. Chilled likes getting pegged. 3. Chilled loves being pegged while playing Trivia Murder Party.
This plus also Wizard of Oz was the first movie made in three-strip technicolor, so they intentionally made the slippers bright ruby red to show off the new technology. I think that's also why there's that transition from sepia tone to full color between kansas and the rest of the movie. Really cool and interesting stuff!

Man, the "guess mildred's handwriting" game used to be super easy, but these guys have all gotten very good at replicating it now. I've had to recalibrate my own ways of figuring out which one was the real one.
Grown up here in Australia and I can honestly say I've not once in 30 years heard of a Red Roo referred to as a "Blue Flyer". That answer shocked the shit outta me. XD
Found two possible reasons for it Red called Blue: The nickname Bluey originated in the 1890s and was used as a nickname throughout World War One to refer to red-haired soldiers of the Australian Imperial Force, especially from New South Wales. During the Second World War, nearly every redhead was nicknamed Bluey, and it spread to civilian life. The name is ironic, and it seems red-haired men didn't mind it, compared to the usual ginger or red nicknames that are often derogatory. It's also been said it may have come from blue meaning fight, based on the belief red-haired Irishmen were prone to fighting, and the phrase, "There goes a blue", when an potential fight walks past.
I noticed yesterday that this video was unavailable to view, but it seems to be viewable now. I've never been one to make great comments half the time, but hopefully whatever was happening that made it unviewable isn't anything of concern. That aside, love your vids!
Aunt Mildred's word on the mirror is actually super easy and I'll tell you why. Aunt Mildred will wait a few seconds and then write her word at the same speed, pretty fast. All you have to do is pay attention to the speed of the words. Once I've realized this, I've guessed the word correctly every time.
Not as interested in trivia, but any chance to see quiplash is a win. Hope we get some more soon. Some of these had me legit in pain from laughing too hard.
I had to pause after kat and the rest of them were so confident that chilled had the same cup as them lmao, that was so stupid lmao, immediately when I saw the cups I was like oh hey same color cups but different shapes!
They changed Dorothy's slippers because it was one of the first feature films to use the new technicolor process and they wanted the slippers to be bright red to highlight the abilities of the new process.
Didn't Chilled say month(s) ago about the mirror one how the one with the skinniest font is always aunt mildred's because the players cannot replicate that? I think they forgot lol.
