I am from Maldives, but I used to live in Kerala when I was younger (for about 4 years) and travelled a lot within the south India, I terribly miss the food from there and my comfort food are still the ones I enjoyed from back then. Especially Medu Vada and Masala Dosa! I used to eat Vada on a daily basis after school on my way back home, and I have the fondest memory of enjoying Masala Dosa (2 of them at once by myself!) with my family once we were on one of our road trip to Ooty-Bangaluru and stopped by Coimbatore (It was a week long road trip from Trivandrum-Coimbatore-Ooty-Myusuru-Banaglruru and back to Trivandrum through Kozhikode and Cochin). I miss eating Appam, Idli, all Chutnies, all kinds of Dosas and Puttus, Curries and also Payasam and Halvas so much I wish can go back to India to enjoy the food and relive the fond memories I had of my childhood. I currently live in Europe (Belarus) and my diet mainly consists of various pasta dishes and I really really miss getting almost Indian food and other asian food. Back in Maldives it was very easy to have all kinds of Indian food as we have many many Indian restaurants, and my mother was always there to make the special South Indian dishes she learnt when we were living in India. Its very hard here in Belarus sadly and my mother is in Maldives. I feel like South Indian food needs even more recognition (its so good!!). Of course all different biriyanis, curries, chicken dishes and naan, parathas from every different region of India are special, but Indian cuisine is so much more than just the mainstream foods that world knows. Every dish tastes so different depending on the region you eat them from (even if they are technically the same dish!). Thank you, you guys for making this video, I watched you all enjoy some of my favourite food. Made me feel so nostalgic.
Your dad (like Mr.Bean and authentic Indian way) at 9.35 is a top notch move 🤣. Its actually a simple version of what we do in India (asp. Tamil Nadu) like if that dish is so delicious and only food remaining, we will take it and run away to eat it in hideout, not sharing with anyone. Just for fun. It looks very beautiful on watching you explaining to your parents about food. Look at them, they are so generous and cautious on eating every piece, I hope its an Italian way. We will eat everything like pour sambar, chutney and curry on dosa, idly or parota (whichever it is !) or besides them to make the dosa wet and then eat it. Literally everyone has different style of eating. Indians are very good at experimenting with everything which includes food which leads us to become food conciousness. Grazie.

Oh my God!! I always knew Italians are best in Europe and have read about their family values. I saw this now. One of the common thing between India and Italy is the culture and family values we adore. Giulia’s dad is super awesome. Gem of the person he is and so is her mother.
Giulia, I love your parents! God bless.. I really had tears watching your interaction with your dad because... I miss my dad... He is in a world where there is no come back...😭
I'm a Delhite & ex-NYker who's lived in Italy (Rome) for 30 years now; Italian has become my 2nd language, so I was perfectly able to understand all the little comments and side-remarks that peppered the video! I must say that I've never felt as much at home as in Italy; indeed, I think Indians & Italians, both heirs to 2 of the world's oldest civilisations, are very alike, both in vice and virtues. By the way, *Giulia, you are the spitting image of my American friend Jillian Taft* [at first I actually thought that Jill had become a UA-camr!], who's also married to an Italian (and I'm sure, your Indian husband will learn Italian very well, too, and very soon, then he'll be able to enjoy all the colourful and musical aspects of the language).
Trying Indian food this weekend. I'm so excited to try it. I came across your video while looking it up. Great video. Your parents are wonderful. I loved the reactions of everyone..esp your honey. @Aditya Sundar I tried making the Medu Vada, traditional Mysore Bonda, Goli Baje with coconut chutney, Sajjige Bajil /Rulanv Phovu and Sannas / Idlis at home and they were incredible 😊 The taste was outstanding 😋 and I can truly understand the love for South Indian Food 😍I'm sure you may want to try it at home if you enjoy South Indian cuisine 😊

*Why you are the only one from Pune......I also wel come them from Pune !*
@@ChudGayaPorkistan 👍😀
Loved it. I have always had issues with my culture being called “curry” culture. Italy needs more south Asian restaurants. I mean they love scarpetta so much that even Michelin starred restaurants will let you do that. I mean in south Asian food we only do scarpetta 😉
I also love south indian cuisine , i can eat it three times a day all my life 😂😂
Bcz you are in chennai
@@srijai...9935 no i am a North Indian Punjabi 😂😂😂and i love my India , our people and our food , again specially south Indian food .

Italy is like no 3 on my bucket list and to see Italians enjoying Indian delicacies is so satisfying. I think the emotional connect with food and family seems to be same with Italians
Such a beautiful video! Lovely people appreciating our food despite being completely new to it. Cheers guys! Thanks for sharing!
Guilia, your parents are so much fun and loving. Especially, your dad!! He is such a joker. It's so nice to watch them enjoy a different culture with so much enthusiasm ☺ 🙏😋

Oh my God!! I always knew Italians are best in Europe and have read about their family values. I saw this now. One of the common thing between India and Italy is the culture and family values we adore. Giulia’s dad is super awesome. Gem of the person he is and so is her mother.
Calm down please
LOVED UR VLOG THE DAD IS A REAL CHARATER , MADE ME LAUGH. THE EXPRESSION THEY BOTH PARENTS HAD ,IS PRICELESS. BRAVO, BRAVO GIULIA FOR SHARING THIS.
Giulia, I love your parents! God bless.. I really had tears watching your interaction with your dad because... I miss my dad... He is in a world where there is no come back...😭

Your Mama-Papa are adorable… Papa’s reaction to aubergine curry is “Exclusively awesome” 😄 May the God’s blessings always be with y’all !!
He's so excited for them to try indian food. They'd probably have the same reaction w him eating Italian. Yum on both!
Hey I'm curious did u try the Indian food yet? I hope u enjoyed ur food if u tried it
Came across this video thanks to the UA-cam algorithm and loved it so much, that I ended up subscribing to your channel! Your parents are too cute & their reaction was just too pure!❤️ Best wishes for your wedding too!!🎉

@Prashant Chandra Bhardwaj The Bhagat Tarachand Special Thali is simply amazing I recreated their entire special thali at home along with the Dal Tadka, papad churi, Kutchi beer, Khichia papad and more a total of 11 dishes and it was delectable 🤤. Do try making it at home if you have enjoyed watching👍😀
Your parents are excellent... especially your father is lovely....you are blessed.
You both are doing such fantastic job in selecting the right dishes for someone to try! Being in the F&B industry I can say for certain that you both do a brilliant job in this, that most experienced folks fail to do so. Amazing! ✨✨
