Yeah, they are surprisingly detailed - when Palitoy worked on new designs they would sometimes collaborate with the real life counterparts to ensure they got the details right 👍👍
Wow!!!! Bravo Dave! 👏👏, I’m not an action man kinda guy, but I can certainly appreciate them, that was super engaging and almost hypnotic! I was absolutely glued to it! Anyone that can do that to me with a video that includes no speech gets my vote, brilliantly done mate 👍
Thanks Luke!!! 🙏 This video was a risk really, had no idea how it would be received. So am glad you have given the 👍 and you were glued to it. Perhaps I should never appear in a video again 🤣🤣 I think Action Man is an amazing line, can't think of anything from the day with so much realism and detail.
Wow! Now I'm nice and relaxed (which I never am!!) after watching this video. You forget how much love and detail went into this toy line. Besides Hot Toys, I don't think we'll ever see this type of clothing and accessories on toys again. Great video my friend.
Ha! I can imagine you don't like to sit around doing nothing for long 🤣 Yeah, to think these were toys for children to chuck around, just amazing detail, although blinking fragile!! Thanks for watching Marc 🙏 Now you can resume at your normal level of 11 🤣
It's incredible that these were children's toys. Many modern collectors pieces aren't as good. I and I'm sure most others didn't appreciate how good they were back in the day. How many are Missing in Action Man?
Mr Rush does ASMR! Ooh... exciting! Little Salacious is compiling a list of words and objects for your next video! I’m hoping Universal Collector will be supplying you with some fruit! Hee hee SRx
This was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing videos I've seen on UA-cam! Absolutely loved it Dave, I have no Action Men... but this makes me want an action man 🤣 Watching you work all the webbing was quality, I actually have some real British ww2 gear, makes me want to display that. 🙌🍻
Thanks for your kind words, really appreciate that!! 🙏 Yeah add an Action Man, it would definitely complement your WW2 gear - if you do display your gear I'd love to see some pictures - I try to catch Combat Dealers on TV when I can 👍👍
@@VintageToyRush It's very tempting, now that I'm finally getting mys stuff displayed I'm having to make quite tough decisions on what to keep / display so I'm going to hang fire right now. I might display the stuff, love Combat dealers, have a passion for the history and the time frame thanks to my dad and grampa, I feel like it all carries a bit of stigma though (a bit like toy collectibg to be fair) 🤣 thanks again Dave!
Hey Dave I could watch you do that all day. I can't believe how many accessories he came with. Also very nicely edited and assembled. Here's a question If Action Man doesn't wear any underpants does that mean he goes commando? 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
LOL he goes commando? I'm still laughing now 🤣 Well this version maybe, but the later Action Men are known as "Blue Pants" cause they do have blue pants, so they're more reserved 😎 The Combat Soldier didn't actually exist as an off-the-shelf outfit - you bought a simple Action Soldier which could then be accessorised by purchasing "Combat" cards with weapons, additional clothing, tents etc so a complete "Combat Soldier" has loads more stuff!!! Thanks Tez for your kind words on this video - wasn't actually going for this style, but in the edit it presented itself so wasn't sure how it would be received 🙏
@@VintageToyRush I'm still gutted i threw what action men I had out. I had the duck tank and Army Jeep with trailer and dinghy. All that kit rolling is awesome 🤔
@@TeZXSpectrum i threw my action man out when i moved out of my parents house, i can remember doing it, it pisses me of that i did it and couldn't have cared less about him at the time. And it pisses me of that i remember so clearly when i was throwing loads of stuff away but remembered only action man specifically.
For Action Man clothing, I usually just use warm water and hand wash. Then leave to dry on a paper towel. The dye on them tends to run easily. In some cases, may use a little washing powder in the water.
There are different types of Action Man bodies - take a look at www.actionmanhq.co.uk/pages/identifier.php to identify which one you have. In most cases, the body will need to be restrung. Take a look at Toy Polloi's channel - he has great videos on how to restring an Action Man. If the joint has a rivet, it's more difficult and the fix can potentially damage the body as you'll need to retighten the rivet usually with some force required (so I'd leave those alone). Hope that helps. 👍
Is nobody gonna note that this Action Man looked like he had a Slotted shoulder? I know that the earliest Gi Joe Figures had the slotted shoulders, but don't know about action man
@@VintageToyRush extremely late reply But I just took another look, and yeah this figure just has the basic shoulder A slotted shoulder was when a really early Gi joe figure had a circle cut out in the top of the shoulder were the hook that holds the arm on goes The figures that would come after that one never had slotted shoulders The bottom of the neck also had a slot in the bottom
Awesome. Love all that gear. Fantastic
Thanks John!! 🙏
Always love this classic soldier and his gear.
Yeah, definitely one of my favourites 👍
@@VintageToyRush 😊👍
One of the best vintage action man outfits! The amount of detail is unreal
Yeah, and since this video, this Action Man now has the correct back pack and looks even more realistic!! 👍

Yeah back in the day we just treated them as toys! But now as collectors we can see the quality and depth 👍 Not sure I understand your question?
