Against The Crusher, the Missing Link's batteries depleted prematurely, as a result of having to fight tremendous gyroscopic forces every time The Missing Link turned. Against Endotherm, the battery cable fell off of the battery--I learned my lesson then to always tape down connectors for extra security! Thanks, -Jason
stupid thing is just and edge trimmer with a buzzsaw on it. Saws dont work you need something with one or two heavy duty teeth so it catches, stops the blade pretty much and rips whatever you hit.

But you guys don't have heavyweight spinners that can win a battle without having to OOTA the opponent. In fact, didn't you guys ban heavyweight spinners partially because your flipper-wedges couldn't touch them? I understand the safety concerns, but that could easily be solved by building safer arenas.
These are lightweight-class robots. Razor looks like it would be a middleweight or even a heavyweight bot. Razor is a well-designed bot but it probably can't compete with the best of the middleweights and would get crushed by most heavyweights.
So here it is 20 years later, and it was a Different BattleBots for sure... Five Minute Matches, not 3 min. More Hazards in the Box to be avoided. Yet some things are still the same... Saw Blade Bots are Worthless! I have never seen one of them Kill another Bot, or cause much damage. This one had a Huge Gas Powered Saw, and it was Beaten by a 9 yo. Kid, with a Wedge Bot... lol That kid would be 29 now, and should have stayed in the sport.
I think Venom, the son of Razor would have given them a great battle. These are lightweights, and Razor is a heavyweight. Maybe if you decide to, to look up Venom

I believe the gas engine stalled. It was finicky & required a manual pull on the cord to start, so I couldn't restart it remotely.

That's the beauty of a 2-wheel robot design with weapon mounts on both sides: there is no front or back! :)
