As a Spy, you rely on subtlety and trickery to succeed, that's why if you're caught, don't continue trying to get away with things. If your cover is blown, try to make an escape using your revolver and cloak watch to throw off pursuers. If you're being chased by one enemy, you can also try to bait them into showing their back to you by sidestepping them or jumping over them when at an incline.

You forgot the part where that Spy is so oblvious to how he's been caught that somehow he's exposed an actually good Spy that's nearby.

Granted, if you have Your Eternal Reward, backstabs immediately swap your disguise.
@@SMAXZO There's a problem with that plan, it kinda assumes people would not be able to easily tell you are a disguised spy. I found disguises only useful at approaching for stabbing someone, but actually concealing you it's rather hard, and if the enemy it's already watching you then YER is not gonna help much. And finally, even if you can trickstab someone once a while, it wouldn't work if the enemy gets savvier, and they would likely start both ganging on you as well as staying out of range.
If you cover gets blown the best course of action more often than not is just simply cutting your loses and get back with gun and invisibility to recover and rethink your approach.
