Tecmate Optimate to Trickle Charge Ducati Streetfighter V4 or Panigale V4 Lithium Battery

I show how to use a Tecmate adapter and the bike's diagnostic port to easily trickle charge a Ducati Street fighter Lithium battery. Can also be used for the Ducati Panigale V4S.

It takes quite a bit of fussing around but the optimate cable is just long enough to feed it into the under seat storage. The moulding in the bottom of the compartment looks like it was made for it and when you need to charge it routes out through the hole for the pillion seat strap.

Good job! You use the diagnostic port as input. Have you by any chance tried to see if it also works as output? For example to install a USB port. Thanks!

Neat routing. I am not sure if your Streetfighter has lithium battery or not? Is your old wall charger optimised for current generation lithium batteries? If not then Optimate make excellent chargers with reconditioning programmes too. They are popular in Europe and here is Australia
