My videos are predominantly about superbikes and motorsports in general. I raced motorcycles (I am an ex-racer) and I am a current United States Motorcycle Coaching Association (USMCA)-certified motorcycle coach. I currently coach novice, intermediate and expert riders for Sport Rider Coaching (sportridercoaching.com), based at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, TX. As superbikes become more and more sophisticated and powerful, there's need for unbiased ride reviews and plain-English explanations and demonstrations of the underlying technology, maintenance and safety features. My trackside coaching and UA-cam motorcycle videos attempt to fill that need. Needless to say, you should not simply follow my videos without first verifying everything or consulting with a professional. Subscribe to my channel for more informative, exciting or entertaining videos released every time I feel like it :-). #AvantLink 1068453.

Do you think its possible to do a video on how to remove the upper fairings, I am having trouble with them.
Yes, I can do that. It might take some time, but I do plan to add radiator and oil cooler guards, and that would be a good opportunity for a DIY on fairing removal.
@ this is perfect, I have the Carbon Winglets but need to remove those upper fairings to reach the winglets!
Draw the shape of the cover on cardboard and mark the bolts on it . Then when removing the bolts insert them in the cardboard keeping track of where they go. Keep the cardboard for the next time working on the bike.
Good ide. Almost as good as mine to use a paint pen marker 🙂
@ ... Suit your self
Merci, top…top…top
Great video, man! I have a ’24 V4 that I’m building up, but watching this new model get modded to taste is great to see. I think you made the right choice with the slip-on, too. I’m not a fan of the look of the full undertail Akra, and you save a good amount of $$$ with the slip-on
Curious if the rubber clear strip on the edge of the windscreen comes with the WRS screen?
Yes it sure does.
The top part of the shifter should have been rotated 180 by loosing the bolt and pulling it from the shaft and rotating it 180 sliding it back on the shaft and tightening the bolt.
It works perfectly. Thanks!
@@brilliantspeedsuperbikes ... It may work but you didn't install it correctly
@@goodboyringo9716 What is the source of your assertion? There's nothing in the service manual that requires a 180 rotation. And if you look at the Gilles Tooling rearset install instructions for GP shift, which is my next modification, it does not show a 180 rotation.
Love this bike, congratulations
Why on earth stick the gopro mount on paintwork rather than windshield? Big price difference.
Yes...mount will come off easily with no residue with a little bit of heat from a dryer.
that front fairing gopro mount destroys everything
@@lices I don’t disagree. I may take it off. Thanks.
Where's the Akrapovič exhaust ? Mirrors deleted? Those will be my first mods. Nice bike!

@@brilliantspeedsuperbikes So its not suitable for me then. Thank you
Funny even with the premium powered Weaver one STILL has to use an old tire iron lol....Took me a minute to get over that with my No-Mar but now for big rear tires I dont even bother not using the iron to get the demount tip started.....of course I dont have a duck head to pry agoaist so I use some really thick scraps of leather easy peasy....

Hi there, hope you can help me a little. I could get my lap timer running only at Laguna Seca. After customizing/adding other tracks... no more. What am I doing wrong? Any advice?
Set the lap timer function on in the menu system. Then, set the start/finish, by single press of flash/high beam button. At first intermediate (i1), after start/finish, press and hold flash button until the '1' (in a box) flashes under the chequered flag (start/finish) icon on the dash. First intermediate now set. The next time you press and hold the flash button, i2 will be set. The points can be overwritten by following the same process. Hope this helps.
@@brilliantspeedsuperbikes i figured that the issue might be is the carbon seat cover, which I've installed after Laguna.
@@SuperbikeCoach Interesting. I've heard that carbon fiber can block GPS signals. Let me know if that's indeed the case.

About to do the first oil change on my CBR1000RR in a few days. Which oil filter did you use on your bike?

Just can't look at that exhaust and tail lights why can't they just get it right from the start like ducati
How does the bike behave in terms of handling and cornering accuracy?
Handling is superb. Like a guided apex seeker. FYI I sold this bike.
get a BT Moto tune leave exhaust alone
@@pennfootball71 I’m leaning towards that.
That backround music is killing
I’m 50, I think you’re a little older like myself and you seem to be able to appreciate a factory bike too. The quiet exhaust really lets you hear and feel how that engine is pulling up from the corners and out of the hole. I’m really impressed, Honda isn’t in the bike business for the fun of it, pretty sure they mean it.
I see it differently since I watch alittle racing. Japanese manufacturers aren't really trying like they were afew years back... Suzuki is nowhere to be seen, honda is participating but up until recently, you could tell there was no passion behind it coz factory teams barely had any support and were basically racing with modified streetbikes in WSBK. Their motogp team got destroyed with the new regulations forcing standardized ECUs for everyone which from what I've read, the main benefactor was ducati since honda had the most advanced electronics on the paddock. Yamaha hasn't done anything to fix their poor straight line speed ever since ever which is main reason why toprak left for bmw since there were no plans to fixing it in the near future. They've just recently come with aero upgrades which seems counterproductive coz more aero means more drag meaning even slower on the straights🤷♀ Also yamaha should've built a V4 engine for WSBK and motogp like YESTERDAY! As for kawasaki, they're still racing but just like honda it seems like the manufacturers are there just for attendance. Unfortunately I believe alot of this has to do with the regulations made specifically to punish japanese manufacturers coz they were destroying everyone which is why right now we have almost 1000cc(959cc) 150hp ducati competing in a 600cc supersport class 🤡🤡 I will say this though, honda is definitely getting back in the game, the release of the CBR600RR and their increased interest in the factory WSBK team is already showing with improvements last year.
Great video. I'm in NY, and I can't wait to get my track prepared 600rr back out there. Keep it wheels down.
@brilliantspeedsuperbikes regarding the drive out of bends, thinking of going +1 or +2 on the rear sprocket for more tq but not sure how effective the change will be or if it will jack too much with the TC. Any thoughts on mods.
Worth looking into. My concern is that it will affect TC and certainly the warranty. So, you'll have to look into flashing the ECU with a gearing change.
@brilliantspeedsuperbikes Just got my 2025 Fireblade SP today !!! Spent a month looking for one within 3 hrs of my home. Would love to know your Track Day settings on Rider and Suspension mode settings. I understand P, T, W, EB mostly. But the Suspension mode +/- for front, rear, acc, etc. Settings are a mystery to me. @@Liamm_McPoyle Congraulations! Amazing bike. I might do a quick tutorial on my suspension settings. Thanks.
BrilliantSpeed Between your 23 S1000RR and this bike which is your favorite on the track? I'm having alot of trouble resourcing a 2025 fireblade right now. I've only ridden Honda my entire life. But I may half to settle for something else. I know an electronic suspension is best for my skill level. Is there a big difference between your Honda and the BMW suspension wise? You have the best 2025 Fireblade information on here. Thanks so much for your content.
As you know, the Ohlins Smart EC3 suspension is state of the art and the 2025 Fireblade SP is the first production motorcycle to be equipped with it. The BMW's Marzochhi suspension does not compare. However, I'm still digesting the Honda ownership experience and still dialing in the bike. Without a doubt, at this moment, my 2023 BMW S1000RR is dialed in and is my go-to bike for fast lap times and unforgettable track day experiences. If you've ridden Hondas all your life and budget is tight, I'd highly recommend you try out the BMW. The technology is amazing and includes slide control (which I'm not sure the Honda has). The BMW dashboard alone is a thing of joy and the ergonomics are arguably the best in the business for sport/super bikes. I can't imagine you'd regret going for a BMW. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you're enjoying the content.
@brilliantspeedsuperbikes Thanks very much. Seems in the southern united states these fireblades are all going to race teams, which makes sense. Honda allotments are very low in a 5 hr driving radius of my location. My two primary riding friends are s1000rr riders, so either bike will probably suffice. 👍
Hello.....nice bike! If i may ask. Which tail delete kit you have on the bike? Thank you

OEM brake lines for now. I'll continue pushing the braking deeper into corners and see how I feel. I'm hoping the Honda engineers didn't leave it as rubber simply as a cost savings measure. But if I feel different, I'll need to explore alternatives like the ones you mention.
Great! Waiting for you brake feel on next weeks then. Tnx!

Full coverage is not good for cooling
That's probably true. Bonamic makes half covers. MotoD Racing is one of the biggest retailers of Bonamici and you might try them out.
@@brilliantspeedsuperbikes thanks for the reply
The airflow over the engine/clutch casings give minimal to no cooling affect. It may affect the radiated heat, but the heat inside the engine (what really matters) is affected by the airflow through the intake, oil, and coolant circulation. It's like wrapping your exhaust manifolds. Suddenly the heat can't escape, and it won't be radiated, but your exhaust and engine will still be fine.
