I'm also trying to find a decent squid spot best ive gotten in between northern beaches n Port Douglas produces a few at the right times

Great Video... Thankyou for your UA-cam Video... Cairns love the place.. The 1970`s and 1980`s best times there. No pier back then get your fish and chips wrapped in newspaper only one wharf with Boats going to reef old Ansett and TAA days...

I'm about to head to Cairns in late June, early July for the first time and looking at doing some fishing. I'm from Alice Springs.
I'm glad someone has done a video about different spots around Cairns.we have holidayed in Cairns four times now and we love the place.im from new Zealand and would love to catch some different species can't wait for the northern end video As we spend abit Of time Up that way.im a lure junkie could you suggest a few different lures that might help . cheers and keep safe
Hello these are a guide for public fishing places to make them easier to find👍 catching the fish is still tough at times. As for lures gold bomber has worked well for me in the past👍

He also stared in “Dirty Dozen”. Marvin visited Cairns and fished for marlin for many years...

Hi thanks for watching..queenies can be caught but i find then abit rare and more likely to get other species. There has been a few good reports at palm cove jetty recently so be sure to check the northern end vid so u know where that is good luck🎣🎣👍😃

I was just wondering how anglers land big fish in these elevated spots without a net, since you can't bring the fish to the shore because fishing isn't allowed there.
Hi most ppl will use a big round landing net were it is dropped down into the water and the fish is manoeuvred into that net to secure it but then u mention without a net so u will just have to try n muscle the fish up😃

Hi it was a old mat or towel lodged into the rock. it was hard enough to get the lure off it with out a knife. People should pick up there own trash and not let other do it for them.

why so passive about sign no fishing 9pm to 7am on city wharf ? it should be an insult to your intelligence that people can walk on wharf at 5am in morning but no fishing allowed -----
