Theory: The person who leaked the transcript is the werewolf living under a human identity for the 30-year intervals, as knowledge about its existence and origins is needed in order to mark its next target.

Those werewolf noises were terrifying and really added to the atmosphere of the story. Nothing like a good werewolf story, to break up the flow of Wendigo and skinwalker stories I like to listen to, good work here, Ronnie!

This is one of the best stories I've heard in awhile, I love werewolf stories and hope to hear more in the future.
This is hands down the best scary story narration channel out there right now. Immense effort placed into immersion, editing and voice acting. It's downright heartwarming how much gusto this guy's putting into each and every one of his videos. I am gladdened to have been graced by your channel, thank you for the chills down my spine!

Loving all the sound effects. One of the little... Actually bigger things that keep me coming back to this channel. I wouldn't be surprised if you eventually end up narrating/producing Audio books. You'd be right at home! But I admit this shorter easier to consume format is attractive. Grade A work! Love to see these improvements happen as time passes.

The best was how you said "Do not make the same mistake." at the end. It was ominous and honestly sounded like something out of a classic black and white horror movie from the 1930's to 1960's.

I didn't even know about those events until I heard these stories. Are they all connected somehow?
My fault I'm afraid as I'm the author and come from Ireland! The stories aren't directly linked but are all connected to The Troubles and based on urban legends from the time and / or Irish legend and mythology.

@@Darksomnium Technically, it is actually not quite that. To be perfectly correct and to use accurate French pronunciation, it is 2 syllables, not 3. If you use the American 3 syllable pronunciation, it actually means something else. So if you want to be technically correct (the best kind of correct, according to Futurama), it is more "kewd gra". The "e" in de is silent, and fluent French speakers sort of blur "coup d(e)" into "kewd."
(Pronounciation. Coup de grâce is properly pronounced in French as [kud ɡʁas] (2 syllables, not 3). In English it is often pronounced [ku də ɡɹa], which is the pronunciation of coup de gras, "blow of fat" in French.)
There, multiple paragraphs on a minor point, which wasn't needed but this is the internet. If you run across it again, at least drop the "ce" from "grace" if you want to avoid more comments. :)
That being said, I so enjoy your voice and your narrations. This one was excellent as usual.

She worked her butt off to get us to unlearn 6 years of French and relearn it in one semester.

I'm the author of this story and would like to once again thank The Dark Somnium for his excellent narration and video! This is one of a series of stories exploring the legacy of the Troubles and also delving into Irish legend and mythology. There's an old saying (written on the wall of a pub in Belfast) which I think best sums up the message - "A nation that keeps one eye on the past is wise. A nation that keeps two eyes on the past is blind." Thanks again and take care.
There are a couple of points from the comments I would like to pick up on (and I hope Dark Somnium doesn't mind):
Firstly, although they have the same historical roots, Irish and American Republicanism are two very different ideologies, and there is no intentional connection to American politics in this story.
Secondly, the term 'unconscious racism' is used by the character but does not necessarily reflect the author's view. I believe I read this term in an academic paper on the Troubles some time ago. I think the point was that the conflict received more coverage than others occurring outside of the western world. It was also easier for British and American journalists to interview participants as they spoke English. It wasn't my intention for this phrase to be a political statement, so I apologise if it came across that way.
I hope this clarifies these points. Thank you for the feedback which I appreciate.
Edit: Also, I'm aware that the Irish Revolutionary Guard is not a real organisation. It is however based on other smaller Irish republican paramilitary groups of the era (such as the INLA and IPLO).
And yes, Dog Soldiers is a great film and was one of the influences for this story, as was the legend of the Ossory Werewolves. I haven't watched the film Wolfwalkers yet but will make a point to check this out.

I just had to express appreciation for going with the radio-compresion sound for the transcript and then slowly transferring to normal speech to make it more listenable. That was a pretty nice way to do it and I bet most people overlook it, but those little details are what make you great.
