I had the same symptoms as you: razor-slice like pain when swallowing, even just drinking water; along with extreme fatigue, near-migraine like headaches, drainage, and one day of vomiting. Thought I could just fight it off but got worse and worse. The Z-pak antibiotics definitely helped, I felt worlds better the next day, but not 100% until 2-3 days later. 4 days of agony and little that I could do about it, then 3 days slowly getting better.
