We have the same revival in bluefin tuna in the UK as you, except the fish are even bigger!
There are literally thousands of them off our coast, they seem to average 200/300lb and go over a thousand.
The other difference is how they are managed, it is all tightly licensed, with only a limited number of boat's allowed to catch, tag and release.
There are currently no quotas to land them that I'm aware of and as a consequence the number's seem to be increasing year on year it's truly awesome to witness

Great video , the question is how long can you sustain the amount of Bluefin fishing before we deplete the resource around the world . Look what’s happened to the Salmon stock around the world , soon there won’t be any . Don’t get me wrong I’m a fisherman, I just want to think about my children’s children and make sure they can have the same enjoyment I have and not just hear stories and look at old photos of how it used to be .
