    Hi Mandy. As I'm from the UK, I am familiar with Wentworth Wooden Puzzles. I am subscribed to Wentworth Puzzles UA-cam channel and they have included your channel (along with a few others) on their site! I hope they reach out to you and offer you their free puzzles for you to review. Another way of saving money is to do one of their "travelling puzzles" - a Wentworth Puzzle ambassador from the US has kindly loaned out some of his puzzles for people to do for free (I think you just pay for the postage when you post it to the person who will borrow the puzzle after you). One of the puzzles has so far travelled over 2000 miles!
    Enjoying your channel as usual!

      Oh wow, that would be amazing if Wentworth reached out to me. They are fantastic 🤩 We shall see!
      I'll definitely look into their traveling puzzles. I'm also planning to head to the UK this summer, and I'm trying to figure out how I can squeeze in time to do a little puzzle shopping 💸 I gotta be careful I don't end up with too much luggage on the trip back home though LOLOL.

      Oh thank you. It's hard for me to figure out if I'm making any sense while filming. Sometimes I fee like I'm just rambling nonsense (reason why it can take me so long to edit LOL). Hope you get to try a wooden puzzle too. They can be a beast, but it's definitely worth trying out at least once.

    I bought a lovely small wooden puzzle from Temu. I can't make any progress with it due to the piece shapes - very similar to yours. It seems too advanced to me. I haven't moved beyond a ravensburger/cobble hill traditional puzzle piece.

    • @thepuzzledmandy
      @thepuzzledmandy  5 місяців тому

      Wooden puzzles are a completely different experience and beast of their own. They are definitely not for everyone, but worth giving a try, so I'm glad to hear you're giving it a shot. The piece shapes are mind boggling, and the only way I can get started piecing any part of it together is to try to do the best "sort" I can in the beginning. What kind of image is it?

    I like a mix of challenge and fun- for me 2 in and 2 out piece puzzles aren't fun, I don't want to have false fits ugh!! If more than half the puzzles has me sorting by piece shape it's no longer fun for me!

    • @thepuzzledmandy

      False fits can be such a nightmare, as well as sorting at times lolol. I've become more comfortable with sorting throughout my puzzle life, but sometimes, depending on the image and piece shapes, I just don't have it in me to do any kind of sorting 😂

    So pretty but difficult image for me. I’ve tried a couple of wooden puzzles from amazon… they were ok but loose fit. I have 3 of the ravensburger wooden puzzles…love them… they fit together much more securely… maybe more like liberty… but I’ve never tried that brand. I’m hoping to get more of the ravensburger ones in the future but they are definitely a splurge. Maybe you’ll have to try and compare in the future. Thanks for the interesting video.

      I definitely want to get a wooden puzzle from Ravensburger and do a comparison. I've heard quite a bit about them. Of all the ones I've tried, Liberty beats them all, but my goodness are they super expensive. I'd be super curious how they'd all compare to one another.

      The camera does not do the puzzle image justice. It's so much more vibrant and prettier in person. I'm so glad you understood what I like to call "my ramblings". If you decide to try a wooden puzzle in the future, go for a smaller count so that you're not too overwhelmed by the experience, especially with those random wacky shapes. It's not for everyone, but I think everyone should try it at least once.
