I did one of these a few months ago, and I really did like it. Like you, the edge pieces tripped me up at first, then I thought “oh, this is getting interesting”. The big reveal at the end was a lot of fun, too. Very cleverly done - and adds another dimension to puzzling.
I've been saying I need to pick up another one of their puzzles, and still haven't yet 😅 I've been so preoccupied with other "new to me" brands and working on my 3K recently.
Hi! I´ve just "discovered" your channel, and I am so happy for that!! I did "The Busy Bistro" Magic Puzzle and I absolutely loved it! I am from Argentina and this kind of puzzles are very difficult to get, so I enjoyed it the most! I love your videos! Happy puzzling time!
Hello and thank you so much! 🤗🤗🤗 Those Magic Puzzle Company puzzles are so much fun, and that artwork is amazing. I can't wait to pick up more of them. It's a shame they are so hard to find around the world. Hopefully, they'll start opening their market up! Happy puzzling!🧩🧩🧩
Hi Mandy, what a wonderful concept 🤩. We are amazed how puzzle brands are continuing to innovate within the hobby. The image was so cute too. We’re convinced that at the mo we are in a puzzling renaissance and that’s such a good thing. Always top videos Mandy we just loveem. M+C😎😄
So true! It's so exciting to see what all these brands are coming up with and what they're like. It's a great time to be a puzzler! And thanks to the both of you always for all your support! 🤗🤗🤗
Why, why I have watched this video?! Now I really want this puzzle! But they are unavailable in Poland 😭 anyways... I love your videos! I'd love to hang out with you. You seem to be such a great and funny person. And I wait for your videos like for Christmas 😁 you're the best puzzle UA-camr.
Hopefully this company is working on getting these puzzles more available around the world. They truly are something everyone should experience! And thank you so much for the compliments 🤗 I can be a bit nutty when I loosen up 😂
I did the Mystic Maze one. It was fun to do but a bit frustrating when trying to pick up a section I finished to move it into it's place on the board. I solved that problem with a sheet of paper from my printer and when I have to move larger section at the end. You know that part I used the paper that came with puzzle and it worked fine. Other than the hold of the pieces had no problem with these and will do some of the others for sure. Yes there is a lot to find in these puzzles if you really look. That was fun also. Thanks Mandy for great video again. Peace.
I was surprised that the hold wasn't as great as it should be considering you have to move these sections around. But still overall it was great fun. I've yet to pick up another puzzle, but I hopefully plan to soon.
They are super fun and the pieces themselves are great. Just wish it wasn't crumbly, which is silly considering you have to move it around. But still, I would definitely recommend and pick up more of them.
What a fun video! I was never really clear about what was "magic" about these puzzles. Now I understand. I could have told you not to pick it up! There are large areas that are completely separate, so even trying was a fantasy, but I know you had to!
I was curious about what the "magic" was too! Happy I found out 🤩 Yea, I knew it wasn't going to be a successful pick up test, but I just had to try. I couldn't help myself 😂
Forest Feast is the first one I did from this brand and absolutely loved it! My second was Gnomes Homes and loved it too!! Thanks for the video, always a pleasure. My puzzles were gifts and I do believe he got them on Amazon.
You are so welcome! Happy you enjoyed the video 🤗 I definitely want to pick up more of these puzzles. I love the art style and a lot of the characters are so cute. Very creative images and fun to admire.
Thanks so much! It surely was a very interesting experience since it added on other elements along with just the piecing together. Hope you have a great experience when you try it out for the first time 🤗
Perfect timing! I just finished the Puzzled Patron last night and opened the secret envelope this morning. I really prefer your image so much more as not as dark. I have been wanting to try one of these and couldn’t pass up a brand new one for $4 at a thrift store. Very crumbly and I am glad I work on a large table.
I had a very similar fit experience. I think it is probably because of the movement that has to take place at the end. Not being able to move a few pieces around usually drives me batty, but I loved this so much I didn't care. Can't wait to find my next one!!
Totally agree. I'm the kind of puzzler that much prefers a good hold since I like to work on sections around different areas of my table and move them around to the right positions. But thankfully, this puzzle was so much fun that I didn't mind the lack of hold too much.
I have the earlier version of The Mystic Maze, and it doesn't have that Sign&Share Sticker. It does have the rest, though. I did it so long ago I can't recall about the crumbliness, but I think it did. This is a major issue for their puzzles. I'm surprised they didn't fix it by now
It's also interesting considering that it does have to be moved around. You'd think it'd have a great hold, so I was really surprised by that. Still, it was a lot of fun and the overall quality is great.
I love these puzzles! I’ve completed half of them so far, but not this one yet. Did you look at the back of the large piece? I’ve found hidden messages on it, and also on the backs of some other pieces, at least beyond series one. I haven’t gone back to that series to check on them yet 😜
Wait, what?!?! I didn't even realize there was other stuff written on the back aside from the brand name 🤯I'm gonna have to pull it back out now and inspect them LOL!
@@thepuzzledmandy I did check this one and the large piece does say something 😉 On the back of The Crystal Caves the large piece says “in awe at the size of this lad,” which is just adorable, and another section says “help I’m trapped in a puzzle factory” They are subtle but so much fun 😊
I found the 3 from the first series at thrift stores so of course I bought them. They are super quality...except for the crumbling! If they locked more i would have no complaints. I did mine on a fabric surface so it was a challenge to move the sections. The website advises you to have a large smooth surface...but it should be on the boxes too, right?
Oh wow! That's a super lucky find at a thrift store! My head would've exploded 🤯But you're absolutely right! Why didn't note this on the boxes as well??? Not everyone goes to the websites. It's a bit silly really.
I've done a couple of puzzles from the Magic Puzzle Company, and have thoroughly enjoyed them. As with you, my only real issue was pieces falling apart when I tried to move chunks of pieces. I love the different puzzle piece shapes and sizes.
I really hope they'll improve the hold at some point. Not sure how, but it would be nice. But even with the lack of hold, I plan to pick up more of these fun puzzles.
Hii Mandy! Question for you (or any fellow puzzler). I purchased the midnight city collection from KI puzzles from your video/recommendation. I loved the snug piece fit. That is honestly my favorite feature in a puzzle. Do you (or any fellow puzzler) have a recommendations on what other puzzle brands have that snug fit?
Yes. Try Pintoo! They are made of plastic and virtually lock together. They have the most perfect fit you can imagine. You can hold the entire puzzle by one corner, and it will not come apart.
I've been thinking about buying one of these puzzles for a while, but they are very expensive in Amazon Mexico. I'll look for other options or wait for a sale :)
I really hope they make these more widely available around the world. The lack of availability really jumps that price up. Hopefully you can catch a good sale online at some point.
Is this the only magic puzzle company one you've done? I started the video, then quickly stopped when I realized I haven't done this one yet. I own it, but I'm saving it. I've done "Mystic Maze" and "Secret Soup."
Yup, this is my first one. I've seen only a couple others at my local Walmart, but I may just pick up some of the bundles that they sell on Amazon. All their images look like too much fun.
I saw this brand at Target today and wondered why it was so heavy. Also the price was $22.99. Skip the velcro and such and charge less. For that price they need to stay together.
They really are a pricey puzzle, and I think you're right. I think a lot of that does have to do with the nice packaging. It is a fun concept, but you'd expect them to stay together especially if they need to be moved around. I plan to buy one again, but there are so many other puzzles that I would rather spend my money on at this minute.
Yep I have the same sentiments about MPC puzzles. Love everything about it except for the crumblyness, esp since the gimmick is moving large sections around. They're all like that unfortunately
It's mind boggling really. You'd think they'd create something that could hold up at least a little bit 🤔If it wasn't for that, I feel like they would've been perfect.
The Forest Feast was my favorite jigsaw puzzle of 2023! 🧩❤️ I agree, it has a super loose fit, but I loved the image and the puzzling experience so much that the fit didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the puzzle.
I have to agree! For 2024, I think this has to be the most fun I had piecing an image together so far. It certainly would've been 100% perfect if the hold was there.
I have the entire set of the magic puzzles, I love them so much!
Wow, really?! That's awesome! I don't blame you, they are really fantastic 🤩
Wow many are there

They certainly are very unique puzzles, and I get why they use the word "magic".

I'm so excited to see if you like it!!! They are my fav!!!
They are awesome, and I can't wait to pick up another one!
They started on kickstarter and my gf got me series 1, I have kept up since! Everyone is so fun!!!
Oh wow, you got a nice collection then 🤩
I loved this puzzle too and was sad when I was done!!
It's funny how it's both good and bad when you're sad finishing a puzzle. It means it was time very well spent!
I am glad you did and enjoyed this puzzle. I enjoyed watching this
Glad you enjoyed it! I can't wait to work on another puzzle from this brand.

Hello Mandy. It was a really neat puzzle. Loved how it was made in peices....I may order one just to try. Thanks n LOVE your videos . 🎉

$4 brand new at a thrift store?!!?! That's a super find! I seriously want to pick up a lot more of these puzzles.
That looks like so much fun! Haven't seen any such puzzles here in South Africa. Will have to look into getting my hands on one.
Hopefully they'll start to make these more available worldwide. They are definitely something everyone should experience.

Love this video I have been curious about this brand. Might have to grab one and try it out.
It's so good! Definitely recommend it, and all their images look like a lot of fun. Hope you have a great first experience with this brand 🤗
That's my big complaint too, for a puzzle meant to move it should hold better!
It baffles me really. I don't understand why they let it fail at that.
@@thepuzzledmandy yep, me either- I keep leaving reviews on Amazon for them- no idea if it helps!
@@stacyssassystyles You'd hope they read the reviews especially since I believe that is the only online store they are sold from.

What would be a beginner puuzzle age is older adult?
I'm not sure really. Beginners can be of any age, just depends when you become exposed to them or show an interest.
I hate puzzles that have edges on the inside of the puzzle! This would be frustrating for me.
Honestly, I was very confused at first. I've never done a puzzle with edges on the inside before.
