I absolutely love Krypts and have completed 5 of them. There are 8 available (not including custom myravensburger krypts) The Gradient, Gold, Silver, Black, Pink, Mint, Neon Green and Universe Glow. There are also some vintage krypts called "Think Krypt" and one called "Colour Spiral". You did a great job with the Gradient and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. If you ever want to tackle a solid colour, shape sorting is the way to go. Having all pieces visible in neat lines helps a lot. I feel like doing these puzzles have helped me get faster at doing area's of solid colour/texture on regular puzzles as it teaches you not to rely so much on image and to recognise the tiniest differences in piece shape.
WOW, 5 of them! You're the Krypt beast! That's awesome 🤩 That certainly shows that you have developed great puzzling skills. You're absolutely right. I can see how this can really help you get better at solving solid color area in other puzzle images.
I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the color gradient Krypt puzzle, Mandy. That one is certainly more interesting to look at than the solid color Krypts. For myself, I am not drawn to solid color or even gradient puzzles. I am attracted to the works of artists with their colors, textures, and creative images captured in jigsaw puzzles. I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing vacation !
Thanks again! For sure way more interesting to work on than the solid prints. I still don't know when I'll ever get the courage to work on my silver puzzle, but we'll see. Like you, I'm way more interested in beautiful sceneries with my houses in the background 😆
What timing! I just finished this one 2 days ago. I started with the yellow, moved to the greens and when I got stuck there, moved to the pink-orange, and purples. Once I (finally) finished the green I finished up the purple and blue. I found the green section to be never-ending, lol. It just felt like there was way more of it than any other color and I had to sort by shape to get through it. My favorite was the middle curved section and the blue! So fun to watch you tackle this one.
That's funny, I felt like the green seemed never ending too and that there were way more green pieces than anything else. Must be the way our eyes register the colors. I guess it really depends on the person. It's interesting to hear which areas were more challenging from other puzzles.
The gradient is definitely the easiest, and a good way to introduce yourself to the Krypt series. I'm still not sure if I'll ever attempt the silver though 😂
Love gradient puzzles. They are great for developing your puzzle skills for shape, and developing your eye for color. If you want to do another gradient puzzle, I highly recommend the Ravensburger 1000 piece "Colors on Colors" puzzle.
I did see that Ravensburger in one of my last shopping trips, and even though I'm not a big fan of gradients, it certainly is one I'd be very interested in trying. It looks like a lot of fun to piece together.
Yes I have this gradient puzzle I haven’t done it yet I do love guardian puzzles. They’re a lot of fun to put together. I usually shape short. The hardest part for me were the yellows in the green and the dark purple in the pink.
I don't have the kyrpt puzzle but i have 2 other gradient puzzles. The dark purple and the yellow-green areas are where i always struggle the most. The pink, orange and blue sections are what i enjoy the most.
You're a brave soul. I would probably do the gradient instead of the solid color puzzles. Ravensburger is becoming my new favorite puzzle brand. Well done!
Thank you! It's not something I'd typically work on, but I'm really glad I tried it. Gradient first is definitely the way to go if you ever want to give Krypt a try.
When you are ready, I am looking forward to seeing you do the silver puzzle. I have never done a Krypt puzzle, but I will guess that a solid color puzzle will make the Haunted Mansion puzzle seem like a breeze! One day, you must conquer this challenge, or not!
Oh boy, every time I think about that silver Krypt, I get nervous😆But the second attempt will happen one day (just don't know when LOL). But now that you mention the Haunted Mansion puzzle, that's actually getting me a bit motivated to answer the question of whether the solid krypt is harder or not, Hmmmm 🤔
@@thepuzzledmandy Even though the H M puzzle was extremely dark, with images that blended together, the silver puzzle will have no image at all. Yikes! I get a headache just thinking about it. 🤕
I am very impressed! I congratulate you on your success with this one. Only 5 hours to complete…WOW I have enough troubles with puzzles with houses, animals and trees! Don’t think I will ever work on a gradient puzzle. Great job Mandy!!! Have a great trip.
Thank you 🤗I was also shocked that I completed it fairly quick. But I'll be happy when I get back to work on putting together some of my beautiful houses again 😁 Actually now that I think of it, I have some Disney puzzles planned for when I get back from my trip! I'm too excited!
Well done! I have completed the Gradient Krypt puzzle as well! I had a lot of fun with it, but unfortunately, my copy was missing a piece. Ravensburger did send me a replacement, but I have yet to take on the challenge for a second time. I have absolutely no desire to attempt a solid colored Krypt puzzle.
Oh that sucks that it was missing a piece! That would've drove me crazy after all that work, but I'm glad Ravensburger sent you the piece in the end. Honestly, I don't know when I'll get the courage to attempt that silver krypt. 😆We shall see.
I’m working on the 654 count silver krypt right now. You can kind of figure out the outside frame pieces from the inner spiral pieces, so it feels more like doing two 300 solid piece puzzles. The 881 Universe Glow looks harder, like doing two 400 solid color puzzles. And the 736 black circular krypt looks like it will be crazy, insane, difficult. The 631 Gradient looks like it was super fun to do 😍
Oh my, you are way braver than I am. I wish you all the puzzle luck to get it done! The gradient was fun, and most likely the most fun of the bunch 😆 I saw a pic of that black krypt and I quickly moved on to something else LOL. Insanity!
I thought that "answer" sheet was so useless. I couldn't stand to look at it for too long. I still can't figure out how it's supposed to help anyone solve it.
Well done. I have done the gradiend and the pink onre. I thougth the gradient was an easy puzzle but the solid color was absolutely not. I did some if the inner ring without the solution after that I went with the solution and kopied it to mark of thr pieces I had already done. Not my kind of puzzle, but maybe you like it.
You should be very pleased with yourself Mandy, you did very well. 👍I have no interest in Krypt puzzles at all so wouldn't bother to attempt any. I've done a good number of gradient puzzles but ones with interest in them. For example Clementoni's Stairs or the Trefl one that looks like square sticks, Ref. No. 10666. Look forward to your next video when you are back from your trip.
Thank you 😁I think if I work on another gradient in the future, it'll have to be something with a little more to it like the ones you mentioned. Definitely way more interesting than just colors blending together.
I don't like krypts so kudos to you. 😊 2 more days for summer break and I can puzzle til my hearts content. Love your videos though as you are funny and fun to watch. I laugh alot so thank you. 🎉
Well done Mandy.. I have never tried a Krypt puzzle or a gradient. To be honest I don't see the point of them, I like good images too much. lol But I might try this one after watching your video. Thank you so much x
I much prefer a good image too. Gradients are not something I'd go buy, but I'm very happy that I tried it. It's always great to try something new, even if you're not sure if you'll enjoy it as much.
Only 1 min in and I'm starting to question...is this the one where we are going to hear and see you swear, scream, and shout at the jigsaw, filmed on camera lol So, you changed your mind about changing your mind lol....just playing with ya, Mandy :-) I will say I am very impressed with how quick you got re half way thru. I have the silver krypt puzzzle and wondering if 6 months is enuf time to get it completed. So funny watching this video at 1.5x normal speed with Mighty Mandy working at mega-turbo speed.......that coffee really works well on you lol Personally, I sense just relish in your accomplishment for a while b4 tackling the silver one. :-) Congrats on doing it so quickly....hats off to you :-)
I'm pretty sure one of those kinds of videos will pop up one day 😆 I'm sure it'll take a lot of editing bleeping out some harsh words LOL. Imagine watching me swear, scream, and shout at 1.5x normal speed with sound 🤣 that'll make a very interesting video, and probably get me de-monetized LOL. I agree though, I must relish this accomplishment and save the silver krypt for when I want to purposefully put myself in a bad mood 🤣
I'm really not interested in gradients, but I'm very happy that I tried it. It was definitely fun, but I wouldn't say I'm going to go out and buy more gradients.
I was surprised to hear you had only done one Ravensberger puzzle before. I’m also wondering if anybody else thinks their puzzles have changed? They used to have a satin like finish. The last two I did were smooth. Still good quality, but somehow less luxurious?
It's been a long while since I worked on my very first Ravensburger, I'm way overdue to try more of them. I'm planning on working on one of their Disney images when I get back from my trip, so I'm really looking forward to it.
I haven't tried any of the gradient or solid color puzzles yet. The sky gradients in the photographic puzzles I have are hard enough for me. I tried the Discord link but it said it had expired.
Oh I struggle with sky gradients as well. Makes me wonder if skies are actually more difficult at times. Thank you for letting me know about the Discord link. It randomly resets on its own, but I've fixed it now.
I tried to join discord, but it tells me that the link is invalid, both when I follow the one from the video, and from the link on your main UA-cam page. Do you have an updated link?
Thank you for letting me know! I’ve updated the link in the Discord video now, so you can use that one. I’ll have to update the link from the main page when I return back home, this darn app doesn’t let me do it on my phone.
Great job. I like gradient puzzles, but I have no interest in doing a solid color puzzle. There are way too many more interesting puzzles that I would rather spend my time doing.
Good job. The gradient one would be the only one I would even attempt!
If that gradient hadn’t been sent to me, I still would’ve had “Krypt” puzzle on my to do list 😅

I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It's good fun!
I loved loved working this puzzle. Surprisingly, I find gradient puzzles relaxing. Thanks for sharing
You're welcome! And you're right, it did give me a sense of calm while piecing it together.
Haha you got us good. I saw you open that solid color one and I was like “no way…she’s not going to do that…”😂
I guess I can say I "tried" right...does it count? 🤣🤣🤣

I have decided that I just don't see green very well. I must be a little color blind.

I tend to struggle with greens, blues, and sometimes purples.
