👀 ABOUT THIS VIDEO
When you look at a super successful restaurant like Canlis (multiple James Beard awards + top fine-dining restaurant in U.S), it's easy to think that "oh they have it easy". But the truth is, it took a lot of rough bumpy roads in order to get there. And like many other businesses, they've had their time of being empty, getting negative reviews and press, and struggling. However - like Mark says - the obstacles and adversity is something every restaurant owner and restaurant management needs to go through and experience. It will shape your restaurant business and you as a restaurant business owner.
So if you're looking to learn how to start a restaurant business, want to open a restaurant, start a food business, start a cloud kitchen, start a food truck business, or am a food business owner or aspiring food entrepreneur, keep on watching!
Watch the full interview with Mark Canlis on the channel.

Hello 😊
Thanks for the video! 👍🏽
You bet!
Seems the cloud kitchen concept rose and peaked during the pandemic ,and when brick and mortar started opening again cloud kitchen became irrelevant.I opened mine in October and will close on January 10th because of the high rent and no customers, i started with one concept and have 4 more concepts in but its been a month and a half and the kitchen and the third party apps take like 2 months to get the new concepts live. My wife and i took out a loan and maxed out our credit cards to do this and keep paying the rent, payroll and taxes just for the privilege of having a cloud kitchen, We are even in a good location 4 minutes away from a major university. In Janurary when our kitchen closes when rent is due again we are ruined , our credit scores go back to 450 after it took 20 years to get in the 700s because we have to file bankruptcy now. This was one of the worst mistakes of my life, and i am creative with concepts etc....
Sorry to hear about that Stephen. What was the reason for adding 4 more concepts? Was the first one already proven in the market?
