If it is clicking turning the wheel both ways and it sounds like is coming from under dash, this is your problem. It is very common on these cars. If you do not need it now you will eventually.
Hi, thanks for the excellent video. I have a Kia Rio 2014, and my steering has just started a grinding type sound. The sound is more severe when the car is stationary. As the car picks up speed, the grinding/clicking sound is less severe.. Can it be this same issue? A mechanic suggested to change the steering column. What's your thoughts? The grinding sounds are coming from below the dash and can be heard while driving. The sound cannot be heard from outside
Hi, even after replacing coupler sound started to come after one week, when checked the coupler was damaged again in 4 days , what could be the possible reason
A lot of video show to take the steering wheel to the floor, and you have to remove or disconnect a lot of plugs because can break them. Even a guy disconnects the whole thing from the bottom without notices, so we can disconnect the steering wheel if you don't put attention. My Kia soul 2012 same color but only 74K miles started to make just a little click, just minimum, so I'm giving more time to get worse, because I have seen a lot worse. Mine is not making those horrible noises.
Thanks for the great vid, but I wanted to hear the clicking to verify that's the same problem😏

Many people have a noise and is not the steering coupler, but the union or joint at the bottom. The nut that holds the steering column.
the lower bolt mount is busted can it be replaced
I have no idea.
Exactly what I need. Thanks for this video

Did you buy the dealer ones or the cheap one from Amazon. The dealer ones last better.
