I’ve heard of a few Hmong or Miao Kingdoms that have existed before the Hans take over. This is the first I’ve heard of Yelang. Interesting to know. I’ve always known that my family is of Hmong and Chinese descent. This is another part or story to add to our History. Truely something to be Proud of.
Emperor Yileng is the Bamboo King. He's the "Moses Figure" in our story. His family was wiped out by the Chinese people, leaving him as a baby in a bamboo cradle, going down the river. The baby begins to cry until a naked Hmong woman taking a shower by the waterfall hears him cry. She adopted him and found the crescent royal crest that this baby was royalty. They kept the baby quiet until the right age. Then he became the ruler of Guizhou. His descendants are alive today. If we had a country, they would've been emperors by now.
Han, Hmong, Di, Qiang all came from same anchestor, all same person just split and living in different terrain and climate in long generation, don't be divided by politician make in conflict made up story, be wise.
@@User-kjxklyntrw I’m not discrediting you or your findings. However we are all Asian so at the beginning we all might have had one common ancestor. But linguistically we are not the same people. The Qiang people are more related to the Burmese and Tibetans even the Yi. They are very closely related to the people of the old Country of Tangut or Western Xia, that got wiped off the face of the earth by Genghis Khan. Sure we Miao(Hmong) have barrow a lot of words from the Dai people and some of our family members have intermarried with members of their culture but we are not related. And because of unfortunate and unforgiving wars between us and the Hans. Some of our families have had Han GRANDFATHERS to start our families with and what words we lack in our culture we barrow from the Hans don’t mean that we are related. in all I do not wish for my first comment to be made as if I was being contentious. I simply was just amazed that there is a kingdom called Yelang, and that the inhabitants might be Hmong or Miao in background. Please do not use such comments like yours to create something here that really don’t mean anything of that sort. Thank you. And as always please be kind to one another.

I am pretty sure when the Hans Dynasty conquered Yelang & Miao kingdom. Some of them fled to Laos and Vietnam. And the Miao slowly became Hmong. Language are very similar.

No, yelang's people is 僰/濮, they are today's 仡佬. 僰 was a big race at that area, but they constantly rebel and killed other races around, so ancient government summoned many races and nearly killed them into extinction.
