- Sweetheart was my favorite boss fight, and had such an amazing theme, reason to why I decided to extend this track.
I didn't record footage of this boss fight for the background video, so I used a screenshot I took.
Hope this isn't a problem compared to what my usual 'extended version' videos use to be.

Her theme and boss battle is pretty good, but nothing (in this chapter) beats the absolute terror of opening the cage full of bears. And realising that they are fast. Faster than you. And that they are blocking the exit. And that you saved quite a while ago.

So everybody was calling her Donut for some reason and it looked weird, only when i came back to her castle later in the game and looked better at her paintings i saw the hole in her belly and understood "OH! she LITERALLY is a donut!"

her fight is honestly one of the best boss fights of the game, thanks to how the "Happy" Emotion influences the stats. It really becomes a race for damage a she either misses you completely or crits you to death, and the music just adds to this frantic feeling.
EDIT: yes, thank you everyone for telling me how easy the fight is, even though my comment isn't even acknowledging difficult but literally just "the feel" of the fight.

my whole team was basically built to counter happy enemies at that point in the game so it was a pretty easy fight for me
stab is definitely overpowered

"Her crits do too much damage" everyone forgot sadness counters happiness and how it works? Use two rain clouds to get everyone depressed and as long as you keep your juice up it's almost impossible to die :v
i dont think i used emotions to my advantage once in this game because i didnt want to make anyone in the party sad
I just made my squad Happy for the crit rate since I had like a crit rate setup on Kel for bonkers damage output while spamming Smile on her. I also never really use Sad on either enemies/bosses or myself, I'd rather be neutral than losing Juice everytime I take a hit or do garbage damage on tanky enemies. Usually I go for Angry and then Mock em to nullify the attack boost they get since Happy also just dunks em with even more damage too.

@@RenoCocoa The emotional advantage gives you a way bigger damage bonus even bigger then ANGRY so going sad unless you get some really lucky crits with HAPPY on her is better, and the amount of juice you lose when you use just SAD instead of going DEPRESSED is so small it's almost negligible, and all her attacks become Dull so you'll take even less dmg. It's kind of the weapon triangle on a Fire Emblem game, but in here emotional advantage pretty much doubles your dmg on them and halves what you take from them
They should've let her marry herself, at least then poor Captain Spaceboy would have been spared the horrors of his 12 hour marriage

yeah! its a great fight while underlevel as she hits like a truck with the crits, giving that constant pressure that fits the music very well.
Omori for whole walkthrough keeps player engaged in adventure and at sudden switch to horror, cold events in reality
I love how even when holding a ball and chain she holds her pinky up as if its a teacup
If you're ever stuck in this fight here's how I did it:
- Make omori sad and abuse hack away + stab
- Make hero sad so he can sustain your team. I suggest using fast food over cook.
- Make aubrey and kel happy by using Team Spirit
- For kel, use flex before using either Curveball or run n' gun
- For aubrey, abuse the living shit out of mood wrecker.
- Pack up on life jams, life packets, or use hero's homemade jam
- Once you're ready, release energy
Trust me it is absoloutly insane the amount of damage kel is able to do, although be wary since he tends lose a lot of health fast
-or just make everyone sad and become invincible
I seriously only got one friend becoming toast for the whole fight
also don't be afraid to use items

I haven't finished omori but so far sweetheart is my favourite boss. The music is amazing and her trying to marry herself is just so funny to me
THIS FIGHT man... it completely obliterated my party's setup and team strat. I built my team's skills and charms to center around: basically "make enemies rage, have my party be ecstatic, for the emotion advantage and crit rate, plus have skills that debuffs enemies if they're angry".
but sweetheart literally forced me to re-work my entire skill roster and fight style. it was crazy fun. not to mention the lit soundtrack. damn if I could fight her twice in a row I totally would.

It's based on the music from Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, a visual novel. One of the musicians for the game named *zts* tended to score the fight scenes and intense moments of it. Check out this song's name sake and inspiration, "worldend dominator".
@@Blarglesnarfe It shows with the heavy use of gothic sounds, it feels more like listening to a gothic visual novel song than a Touhou boss battle. With that said, Zun is quite capable to make something like this, "Satori Maiden - 3rd Eye" comes to mind, but with more trumpets added to it. Oh, and less bass too.
She's the reason my Aubrey and Hero leveled up like two levels behind Kel and Omori 😔 Toasted them just before I defeated her 😭😭😭

Loved this battle. It takes your regular debuff strats you were taught and forces you to focus on your defense. Either adapt quickly to the tide change or watch as she kicks your ass while laughing and mocking your anger in the process.

Haha I'll always remember the first time I played, I tried to beat her for an hour, and one time I was sooo close. Her health was entirely down, all my characters' health were up because I just healed them all at the end of the last turn, I just had to hit her once and I'ld win so I made them all attack.
BUT OF COURSE SHE ATTACKED FIRST AND SHE ONE-SHOTED THEM ALL
Omori didn't even resist that time... That day Sweetheart killed all my characters + my sanity

I was severely underleveled for this fight. I somehow managed to pull through though... after 12 attempts! HAHA!
Best battle theme in the whole game, hands down

In my first playthrough, I wasted several jam packets on this fight
In my second, I completely annihilated her without a single character going below half health
I'm still trying to beat this boss for 3 days straight. Grinding in games like this are my weak spot for sure.
Bruhh. Dont forget to use equip and chrams. Set up your team with the best skills. Dont evade enemies. Always fight so you can gain exp.
Use hero primarily for cook, snack time, fast food, and use items.
For omori make him sad then use stab. Use hack away
For aubrey use headbutt and beatdown
For kel use richochet
Avoid using energy so you can use release energy. If you have to use energy use it on heros followup to recover health and juice.
Ive never had problems with any of the bosses in this game
@@Sally-uu3yt same, all of the bosses I got hyped with were purely because of the story because the fights themselves were not very challenging (except for 2 late game bosses)
it seems like a lot of people don't realize how overpowered emotion countering is (as in making yourself sad to fight a happy foe, exactly how I beat this fight) and are often afraid to use items because of the "I might need it later" mentality. If that has been a problem to you, trust me, I've used a lot of items in every bossfight and even in normal encounters that were harder than usual and I still finished the game with a ton of unused items in my inventory and over 40k clams, so there's really no need to save stuff for later because you can literally just buy more (items that heal your whole party are specially useful)
another thing I'm not sure people notice is how good tofu actually is, specially for early game
sure it might be useless in battle because 5 heart is just not worth wasting a whole turn, but if you do the math you'll realize that for the same price you'd buy an item that heals 60 heart, you could buy enough tofu to heal a total of 320 heart, making it super useful for healing between encounters, so you're always sure to enter a fight with full health
Don't forget to apply Sadness to your team, it will cost a bit of juice, but the damage reduction is really great.
