Should I stopped taking collagen powders, I recently found out I have 5 fibroids?
My doctor just called me yesterday to tell me about the results of an ultrasound that I had. I have a big fibroid that is 7cm (about the size of my fist) and several small ones. She told me that I wasn't a candidate for a uterine embolization and that I should have a hysterectomy. I don't want to have an operation. I don't really trust her and will be seeing another doctor to get a second opinion. I also discovered a few months ago that I have many fibroids in my breasts. In the meantime I am going on a raw food diet, will try to drink a gallon of water a day (can't stand to drink this much water), and will be cleansing. I started it this summer but stopped because I was getting headaches. I was later told that I got headaches because I wasn't consuming enough raw foods. I went raw for about a month and the constant pain went away. I will be documenting my progress to find out if my fibroids shrink at all.

Free Spirit Southern Girl do not get a hysterectomy, that doctor is just trying to make more money. I have a 14cm fibroid and my obgyn doctor did not suggest a hysterectomy. I just started a raw food diet as well to start shrinking my fibroids.

OMG this is not about outer life this is either hereditary or it’s one of those things that we need more research money put into to find the reasons why so many woman suffer with these horrible growths.

I am pescetarian for 2 years and I am happy with my relationship and the job. However, I’ve been suffering from multiple fibroids for 10-12 years. I'm trying to learn more if there's any correlation between taking collagen peptide powder, bone broth or other sources of collagen and fibroids but without any luck. I see it in the comments that women are concerned about this and it's frustrating to not find answers. I have been diagnosed with fibroids but am mostly asymptomatic. However, while I was taking collagen peptide powder I was experience brief but sharp pelvic pain in the morning getting out of bed. After I stopped taking it the sharp pain has stopped. I still have to deal with the fibroids, but at least I'm not experiencing the occasional pain anymore. I wish I could learn more about this specifically. I'm wondering if bone broth is safe and maybe only the powder is dangerous? Maybe I wasn't absorbing it and digesting things properly?
