I came here because mine was not toasting the top of the bread. Thought I was doing something wrong. I can see there are more heating elements below where the lever stops. Seems like a design flaw. Otherwise, very stylish and affordable toaster.
Ok works for me as my slices are smaller. Dairy free bread isn’t large like other bread so I’ll give it a try. It’s a beautiful toaster and would look awesome on my countertop.
How do you toast a bagel? ie, toast on one side only! instructions don't help

I wonder if you toast on its side and not top and bottom if it'd toast more even? How do you like it after using awhile?

Slots are not deep enough no good.
Typical Chinese product. Glad you did the video you can see the bread sticking out of the top of the toaster. How could they not notice this design flaw? After reading several reviews, I almost bought the damn thing, but thanks to this video. My excitement is over. Who the hell wants to put a piece of bread in twice just to get it to cook evenly plus when you finally get the top half cooked the bottom half will be overdone. Maybe the Chinese have smaller size bread like everything else in China.👺
