Jeep Compass Trailhawk Review - Most Capable SUV in its Class!

- Jeep Compass was already the most capable SUV in its class, and with the arrival of its Trailhawk version it's now as capable (or more) than the SUVs of a segment above. And to achieve it a lot of things have been updated right from the ground clearance, approach, departure & brakeover angles, suspension setup, new all-terrain tyres, and most importantly the electronics. It now gets 4WD low and lock mode along with an additional rock mode with Jeep's 'Selec Terrain' that makes it quite easy to drive around almost all sorts of surfaces. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk has the same 170bhp, 350Nm 2.0-litre multijet engine, but it's now BS6 ready. Interestingly, it can also run on BS4 fuel without any trouble.

I would personally prefer "NON"-auto dim mirror. Most of the times, these auto dimming mirrors won't work in my experience, especially with highway buses with 6 or more lights. Also, rain sensing wipers are dangerous in off-road conditions, where people throw eggs at the car to rob the vehicles, again personal experience. I got away from a robbery without switching on the wipers. So I usually prefer cars with less electronics in them. Such cars provide a more rewarding and gratifying experience.

Please talk about the quality of headlights n night driving about all vehicles in your reviews.
We usually don’t drive post sunset in our media drives. But we’ll surely consider this from now onwards for the cars we call for a longer period of time.
No vehicle review shows this feature. All these media drives happen in a controlled environment, lot of people to guide you like take left, take right, clear markers for every high and low. This is the same with all reviews in India. In other countries, people do detailed reviews in real life situation and not media drives in controlled environment. Indian reviewers have lot to go. And NOBODY shows how the lights deliver in night, how it performs on highways with high beams of trucks, buses, high end cars and other commercial vehicles.

Compass is more of competition to BMW X1 & Audi Q3. Compass is made with laser welding, hot stamping just like Premium cars. 50+ safety features no other car has in its segment.
