Coo stuff Dr Clarke !. 10 years of decay. I'd say the 2008 recession did them in, nice to see a place not totally trashed for a change. It's probably still worth doing up again... then the junkies would have to find another shootin up shit hole. Your sound effects make for a cool atmosphere. Yeah a great place for a horror movie. ....or an episode of The Dragon's Den where people try & flog their inventions.
Cheers Payl I actually used some original BMW Add music and just the type of music youd hear in a showroom in general back then. I also used figments park from Dawn Of The Dead to fit the post apocalyptic vibes too dude. Theres actually a lot more to these vids than meets the eye dude if you do a little digging. Tk it easy brother!

Worked here from 1997 - 2008. Seems sad seeing it like that, it was spectacular in its day.
Might be no way you remember a car that drove from your dealer in 2004 ?
I replaced all the suspended ceilings in here in May 1990, we had to work nights, it was a bit of fun as well, as the street at the side, Shifnall street was where the ladies of the night worked.

I used to think this place always looked so smart from the outside when it was up and running. I love that piece of music at the end which you always play through your videos
Thank's Nikki it turns out we did this place just in time as it was demoed a few month's later. As for the music I do have a few pieces I use over and over it just gives that sense of familiarity like the littlest hobo or a good tv series ya know lol.
I used to work at HSS on the corner , used to pass this place daily in its prime full of swanky cars .

Looks to me like the top floor was used for managers' offices and board rooms. The room where you found the VHS tapes was probably a staff training room.
I can’t believe all them VHS tapes got destroyed. They’re all very very rare and worth at least £65 to £100 each a good thousand pounds in it all at least!

You say this Is not a lot to look at. Guys like you ma visit more interesting sights, however, this site will hold memories for more people than just those who worked there. Clarkey, guys like you are the modern day historians. This all represents the changing face of towns and cities, especially those who grew up their. Take yourself back to the Salford ghost town. this held memories for you, even though, you did not live on the estate. You modern historians are effectively archiving the past for future generations to come. Good luck with future projects.

Not sure what this place closing has to do with anything else. Theres plenty of car showrooms on that road. Even a Porsche dealership.

Although coming all the way from the southcoast I've played in Bolton, the name of the venue escapes me but it was the club that was used for the interior of Peter Kay's first one-shots before he did Phoenix Nights, it had a big carpark and I believe a large supermarket (KwikSave??) next door, the rock n roll nights were hosted by a local radio dj called Alan Bopper who while he spun records his stage act consisted of walking centre stage, tapping his crepe soled shoes, puffing his pipe and giving the record he was playing a thumbs up and then on occasion he would sing along with the record and if he couldn't make the note he let the singer of the record do it for him, 🤣🤣

Awesome video mate! I was there about a month ago with my camera looking for a way in. Worked there for years in its hay day as Ian Anthony's BMW. I set up a page on facebook with photos of the place and staff. I recognised everything like it was yesterday, pretty sad to see it like that. Good work.

I'm amazed there are no Pigeons, Rats Street cats in there, they're always looking for new places to call home yet likely would have all been swinging from the rafters with all those loose wires so did a quick u-turn NOT FOR ME they said!😂 but what a flippin shame that every ounce of British industry either gets beaten to death like a surplus battery hen or sold off to a new world order! Surprised they didn’t have any security, as they were obviously stripping out stuff(electrics and so on) ready for it to be rebuilt.
Yeah but upon making this video it was completely boarded up except for our entrance point. There was also another building adjacent to this one but that was also inaccessible!

Leider wurde dieser Ort geschlossen, um Platz für einen neuen Ausstellungsraum zu machen. Wurde jedoch eingebrochen und vandelisiert, während auf den Abriss gewartet wurde. Wir sahen gerade eine Gelegenheit, es für die Leute zu filmen, die dort arbeiteten, bevor es für immer verschwand.
