Really enjoy this type of vlog where you mix in some history of the shoes, your personal take/story for them as well as the passion you have for the shoes from the era.
Absolutely agree these have to be the Shoes of the Year...now if Nike will do VC some justice and protro some Shox BB4 & VC's...
the numbers probably represent the jersey numbers of lakers players that played in Minneapolis
On The Originals it is retired Lakers numbers 99 32 all there. On this version I'm not sure what the numbers are because they replaced it with 19 + 89
Something Else I think this was a jerry west team with baylor and gail goodrich on the roster. Not sure but maybe Mikan was before their time? If I had to guess this was that West roster (I doubt these are retired laker legends because Bynum wore 17 just recently)
#22 can be seen 2 times tho. What does that mean? Also #89 for example is not retired. So, I don't think these are (just only) retired numbers.
89: Clyde Lovellette, 19: Vern Mikkelsen, 13: Wilt Chamberlain, 22: Elgin Baylor, 44: Jerry West, 42, James Worthy, 17: Jim Pollard, 25: Gail Goodrich, 22: Slater Martin... Don’t know why some of these players were selected and other players overlooked Ex: 32: Magic Johnson, 33: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 34: Shaquille O’Neal, 52: Jamaal Wilkes, 99: George Mikan

The Nike zoom kobe 4 and the air Jordan 16.5 or something. I remember looking those shoes up to see if I could play basketball in the Jordans
I remember getting my 4th pair of Kobe 1s on clearance back in 07... $45!! Can't believe they're charging $175 now, it's a great shoe but if you play everyday like I used to then they barely last 6 months. I went through a pair of Kobe 2s in 4 months

These Are Dope Love the way those Nike Signs look Fresh Best Kobe Shoe but the all black versions are better but i really like this colorway i hope they dont sell out

Hey nightwing. They got a dope story on the "flyease" tech that nike had released. It's suppose to be catered towards stroke victims, people who have cerebral palsy and anyone who has a hard time tying their shoes. They came our with the lebron soldier flyease. They look pretty dope and I was wondering if you could do a review on the shoe. I'm curious now on how well it performs. Nike has a cool little doc on how hey were inspired to make the flyease tech on UA-cam. Thanks for all the hard work. Bayarea!!!

After watching this video, I now regret passing on the LA Lakers colorway (I can't remember what they called them...it had the number 8 on them) at the Nike employee store. However..LOVE the Air Turbulence cameo!!

I'm much older than you too, but the PG 1 for me was a good shoe. I am really hanging out for the KD 11 review, clearly it's not good?

This might be a wierd quastion but still; how do those fit compared to ADs? Because I have high arches and wide feet and most ball shoes hurt my feet bad but ADs are perfect fit for me but they dont seem to last outside and are not that great outside of fit.

is the epic fail on the kd 11 the part that digs into your Achilles ? I have 2 giant cuts where the pull tab area digs right into my leg making them unplayable . really disappointing nike/jordan have been missing alot from the lebron 15 traction , the jordan 32 low digs into my leg at the back , the kd 11 destroying my legs with the hard sewn piece that digs into your legs . those are my last 3 buys $265 , $215 , $200 cad and I end up having to go back to my jordan 30's lol. Wanted to get the new kobes but I hear traction is not great , I need good traction and decent impact protection , guess I will just look for some more jordan 30'S

Are these really that good in terms of on court performance? Money aside, are they really definitively better than the AJ 32 or the Jordan Why Not zero.1, in your opinion?
I've been waiting a while for the perfect pair for my next game shoes and this seems like it could be it if the hype is real. I won't have a chance to try them on in store, so I'm a bit hesitant to spend this much without getting a feel for them in person, but I assume they won't last long in the nike store so I need to make a decision quickly.
I don't mind shelling out the extra money if they are definitively better than the AJ32 JWNZero.1, especially in terms of traction and support, but if the difference isn't that noticeable its hard to justify spending that much, rather than just getting the JWNZero.1 for much cheaper or waiting it out for a some of next seasons performance models.

What’s better for the $. The Proto or getting the Zero.1 on sale for like $60. I don’t know if I can justify paying the $175 especially bc footlocker will not discount them at all, even with a coupon!
Jon R the Zero.1 definitely the better bang for your buck! Not saying the protros aren’t worth it but the zero.1s are my primary shoes for hooping and if you can get them for $60, jump on that! You won’t be disappointed.
