pretty much similar results top speed wise after the oil change. the talaria is more quiet, smooth and it gets up there in mph a lot faster from my experience especially with tightening the chain tension a bit. but like you said maintenance is the key here to prolong the life of the components. i hear the same battery rattle when you hopped the curb, i placed a rectangle piece of foam behind the battery lever to remedy that noise lol.

Glad that the foam worked! I ended up trying the inflatable bag trick and it works well. It’s only annoying when removing the battery because it’s just one more thing I have to do to get the battery out. But for long off-road rides it definitely helps.
I also think I have a model with some noise coming from the linkage. I’m not sure but even when the battery is secure I still have some noise. It could also be the slack in the gear box because it happens pretty much only going downhill now.

How much oil did you use?

I didn’t have a way to measure the exact amount when I put the oil in, so I used the dipstick.
As far as how much should go back in, GritShift and I contacted Talaria and they told us 75-95ml. They say the owners manual has a typo (100-150ml) that’ll be fixed for all 2023 models.
So if you’re measuring 75-95ml or just use the dipstick with the bike standing upright, not on the kickstand.
Talaria also told me to roll the bike back and forth to allow the oil to settle into every crevice before measuring.
