I’m 54 and a therapist, Matty describes therapy well, and I love the song About You from the album! Not your average 54 yo as I love Paramore too! But then I can go back to Fleetwood Mac anytime when I was young they just started!
I think what makes this interview great is that you can tell the interviewer is a genuine fan of the music. He asked the kind of questions I'd like to think I'd ask if I was ever given the opportunity.
I am pleased the Dutch like 1975. I saw them first 10 years ago at Brixton Academy, I was writing a review for a paper as a favour to my Brother as he couldn't make it. I wasn't that bothered about them, but after seeing them live I was hooked, and they just get better and better. Great interview.
It's the perfect album for this moment in time. I was late to the party but caught on during the third album. Then the fourth had me diving into all the experiments in all the different sounds... and now we got a polished gem to bring us to what we can confidently expect from our favorite four mates with instruments
I’ve listened to many interviews with Matty over the years…and this interviewer really stands out. Great questions, enthusiasm for and knowledge about the band, interesting in his own right. Thanks for this. 😊
Thank you for sharing!🙌 This interviewer is a really interesting man and a true inspired fan of our The 1975 cool guys! It feels immediately that Matty liked their conversation. Love it!❤
This is the first 1975 interview that I've watched that is heartfelt and genuine☺️❤️ Oliver asked the questions fans would love to hear answers from Matt. EVERYTHING WAS SPOT ON AND WELL THOUGHT OUT. I was smiling from ear to ear the whole time. I didn't want it to end👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼more power to your channel, Oliver!
I got really excited when he said the journal thing in the Zane interview and now he's said it again and I have to say I've been saying that for YEARS! lol it's so true. I've been keeping a journal since I was like 8/9, even earlier than 12/13, and I hate them because it has all my embarrassing shit recorded but I can't burn them or get rid of them or stop. I tried to stop and didn't buy a new notebook but I found paper and wrote somewhere anyway regardless :p so I guess it'll never end...
Amazing interview!! Those were great questions, a lot of them were things I was wondering myself. I just saw the 1975 earlier this month and these newer interviews are fueling my love for them
I've kept a journal since I was in 2nd grade, and now I have 131 journals. I don't know why I do it, but I can't stop. I have friends ask me all the time how to start and part of me thinks, honestly, its either something you did or didn't do as a kid/teen. Its impulsive.
I love matty and his lyricism, and also Taylor and her lyrics I see both of their craft as perfect in their own way. And it's interesting (and sad) that taylor rarely gets this kind of good interviews/ questions. While her craft and art also deserves her talking in this way about it. Hah
Matty is SUCH an INTP overthinker.....and I _love_ that about him. In part because I resonate so strongly with his way of processing reality. He's a fascinating human being. I like a lot of music, BUT...there are only a handful of artists where I love their interviews _as much_ as their music. I could list a few.....but lately, the two that come to mind are..........Matty Healy and Aurora. And for two very different reasons. Matty invigorates my hyper left-brained ADD big picture deep in the culture referential....itch/addiction. Aurora soothes my emotional sensitive right-brained primordial elemental reverential....longing/yearning. And to anyone reading this(hi!) who doesn't know Aurora.....good lord am I jealous of you. You have no idea. You need to watch 2 things... 1) Her music: Watch her Live at Nidarosdoman concert. It's only 1 hour....and it quite likely will change your life. 2) Her interviews: Watch the Lifekeys one she did. It's about 1 hour as well....and is the perfect window into her humanity. After that....carry on as you see fit. There's literally hundreds of interviews, songs, concerts, podcasts, live streams, etc I could recommend to you. Check out my Aurora playlist on my channel if you're interested. But I'll let you flesh out that journey on your own. At the _very least_ please....do yourself a favor and watch those 2 things I mentioned. Aurora and Matty are 2 people, among a select few others, who I deeply admire as humans....people who have genuinely transformed my life for the better by making me feel seen, understood, and less alone. I'm a huge huge Matty/75 fan.....AND a huge huge Aurora fan. So there _is_ a venn diagram there....that I certainly exist within. And maybe you do too! Have fun! :)

Amazing interviewer, I can tell he loves what he does!
i could listen to this man talk for the rest of my life honestly
This was a great interview , Oliver had amazing questions and Matty was impeccable as always

‘I like my man like I love my coffee full of soy milk and I won't offend anybody well' my fav line too!
This is a great interview, can feel the interviewer's passion for music and this album in particular

You left out “the sweet” bit of your favorite line

Great interview and great questions!
Totally agree that Matty Healy is one of the most talented songwriters of our generation ✨️
The evolution of time and life just happening.
That's why I'm still in love.
Weird, I listened to it on the way to work, yesterday. Matty is right on point!
Awesome interview, solid questions, really understands the band.
love this album so much
amazing interview ❤

I started when I was 11 but then my mother found my diaries and grilled me about what I had written in them so that put me off ever since 😔
Is this the same interviewer that he was flirting with all those years ago? "You have a wife!" Bet ya glad it was over a video this time lol 😅😂❤
I feel like Matty planned the color palette of the room and his shirt to all look unified.
I love matty and his lyricism, and also Taylor and her lyrics

Hah
She’s brilliant and is THE songwriter of our generation. I’m not even a swiftie but I respect the hustle.
'it’s hard being loose' i love that
Great interviewer! Cheers from Seattle!
Really great interview, loved it
Excellent interview!!

I so agree with you with the part that I also only have a handful of artists that i’ll watch all their interviews. And that is Matty for me as well! 😍
💗💗💗💗
The interviewer reminds me of PewdiePie/Felix a lot!
❤❤
Nope. Being Funny is the worst IMO
