interviews like this where the interviewer is extremely passionate and respectful about the artist's work are my favourite thing ever, just a good sit down exploring and chattin bout good art
What a lovely bloke and the perfect host! Hats off to you for the subjects you guys touched on. I love the album. Did a review also. Looking forward to watching Sam's progression!
@Mejo It's made my day seeing your comment. Not the content of it, which is one-dimensional and vomited from behind an edifice of your own personal prejudice and misunderstanding, but because the best lyrics, the best art, provokes reactions and stings people. I've thought for a year now Sam's honesty and preparedness to write about subjects ignored by others could do that and you have provided affirmation.
@Mejo completely predictable you'd react with abuse and by digging in deeper :-) You continue to make my day and I appreciate it and you enormously. Thank You.
Mejo You know he hasn’t made up the term ‘white privilege’ on his own, right? Surely it’s a well known fact that white people in society have a privilege over ethnic minorities. Surely you’re not that ignorant to what’s going on around you
Since Sam released the Dead Boys EP I have absolutely loved that particular track and the way Eddy eloquently describes seeing it live and then Sam’s explanation of the meaning, his thought process and everything just makes me love it even more. Thank you for the great interview and a look into this glorious album! 🖤
At just after 50 minutes, Eddy says that Sam "communicates so well".... (and for the previous 49 minutes, you can see how he talks... ) he is actually (apart from the bleeps).. very eloquent in what he says... it comes out in his music... he isn't purposely trying to convey a message... but he does...
Best interviewer about and responded to my comments today on Twitter about Sam Fenders album sales being nothing compared to a big album in the 90s. Love Sam Fender by the way.
I was only watching this because I like Sam fender, but it was interesting so I decided to look up some others. it just shocked me that there aren't any with women in. like I'm not usually bothered by stuff like this but it really stuck out to me???
If you don’t understand the message, you are the issue. The good thing is, you are not important. You will disappear and fade, like a bad fart, you will leave no trace as you mean and are indeed...nothing.
@@davecrawley4634 exactly what I think about all those people who say such things about this song. If something about a specific matter tackles you, then you're the problem indeed.

God has been pretty generous with positive character traits on this lad! He's smart, funny, handsome, incredibly talented...
Hes definitely anointed for such a time is this
Wow the story about the guy who stopped himself from driving off a bridge had me choked up. As richard ashcroft says music is power !!

and white privilege has no correlation to white abuse victims
@Mejo seek help!
Hypersonic Missiles is the best album I've heard in several years.
"I've loved you from the first moment I saw you" this is such a lovely thing to say ❤️

absolutely obsessed with this interview

I agree, extensive vocabulary which he weaves into his songs so poetically. "an embryonic love" is a particular fave lyric of his
It’s amazing how many people know Sam now mmm
It's always like that.
These interviews are incredible!
What a pleasure to listen to this . Both are brilliant.
Love this interviewer!
Absolutely love this interview.
This is amazing! I genuinely teared up at the dead boys segment & just overall a great emotional interview with two great people
jon jon yes?
No 1Album this week, well, done Sam you deserve it.
Nice interview hope you had a nice time interviewing this outstanding singer. Brilliant album.
i really hope he does another one of these when his second album comes out
Best interviewer about and responded to my comments today on Twitter about Sam Fenders album sales being nothing compared to a big album in the 90s. Love Sam Fender by the way.
i love listening to sam fender gulp down water. love it.
Anyone who calls toilets "bogs" is a top lad.
A seriously enjoyable hour!
Great interview. Great talent and an amazing album.
I know his producer Thom and he does indeed wear a flat cap a lot
34:47 I'm bawling my eyes rn, I love music so much
Totally agree...the Gallagher baton finally passed on...and he's absolutely grabbed it with both hands❤
Is he wearing a Pinegrove jumper?
He sure is!
I saw his shirt in the thumbnail and had to know it was indeed Pinegrove! I already respected the guy but damn, he even reps Pinegrove, I'm so proud.
Really good interview
47:21 *sam's geordie accent* "thaaat's me"
Class interview !
Such a good lad X
So lovely and real 💙
Wow, that story about Dead Boys. 🥺
I want to know what he was saying where every second word got blanked out around 47mins.
Sam Fender wearing Pinegrove jumper? Love it!
Thoroughly enjoyed this 👌
was not expecting a pinegrove jumper but class
Sam is the northern English Bruce Springsteen in of this generation
What’s the censored thing he’s saying at 47.00 mins
He said he was a piss head, he drank like everyday, he smoked a lot of weed and various other things
Well that was over an hour very well spent.
anyone know what he says that’s bleeped our around the 44:00 - 45:00 mark??
Pisshead
great

Gemma B host probably chooses the guests and he’s fruity
nice
A really good interview but come onnnnn, White Privilege should have been talked about longer...
Is he wearing a pinegrove sweatshirt?
Yo I was thinking the exact same thing!!!!!!!
yes! fuckyeahhh!
ahh that was fucking class
Sometimes he sounds like zayn malik I know they’re both from the north but their talking voices are sometimes very similar
LoveMutz yeah. They’re both stoners😂😂😂
They are not.
Bradford to Geordie accents are miles apart. They sound very different indeed.
Dave Crawley well okay then
Dave Crawley I thibk he meant the type of language he uses, and the way he thinks before he speaks is very similar to zayn
8:25 wtf
53:53 that was rude and unnecessary
Cardinal 😁
Sam looks so coked up.
Nah
Rocka Fella nervous
Load of shite.
Dude, It's his natural state, without coke. He is probably nervous and, has he said, he is weird... Which is why we love him.
He has an immune disorder, so it could be medication
Are you kidding me?! Bruce Springsteen would never make a track about hating his ancestry. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Do you know what Born in the USA is about? Hint: it's not patriotic at all.
