Creation process of a triangle mesh that captures 'pure energy' - no imagery.
This a elemental form used throughout computer graphics. Usually it is used to render the likenesses of 2D images or 3D objects in a computationally efficient manner. I use the triangle mesh extensively in my artwork as a conceptual model and the architecture through which living presence may be obtained, observed, and possibly transformed. In this case I am rendering 'nothing' so the final triangle mesh serves as a document of pure state - there is no imagery and thereby, subject, that is the focus.

I am interested in using the triangle mesh as a graph (a mathematical form) and thereby as a network. In the EHB project linked to above, you can see (and in some cases, hear) the artwork functioning as a network as dots travel throughout according to a system - in this case a rudimentary complex system. There is much I plan to continue exploring here.
Other elemental computer graphics forms that I employ in my artwork are the pixel, the height field, cubes, spheres, and trees.
