Okay, hi. Closing notes here- I want to release videos on each of the 6 notes that I listed throughout this video.
    1.YOU CAN DO IT
    2.INTO THE UNKNOWN
3.TAKE LIFE ON YOUR OWN TIME
    4.HOW CHANGE BEGINS
5.WHAT YOU GIVE ATTENTION TO, GROWS
    6.LEARN TO LOVE (YOU) UNCONDITIONALLY
Sorry if this video in particular was quite vague and not as useful, I cut out a lot of my updates because I realized during the editing process it was a necessary and crucial step to protect my heart and my mental health.
However I can say with certainty that once a wound becomes a scar, I can bring you more thoughts with the help of newfound clarity and hindsight.
But in the meantime I want to be honest and show up authentically in the world, so this was part of that- like saying, hey world! pain is real, loss is real, so is love and beauty. and I can feel all of it. I love you so much and I look forward to sharing more about healing and growth to help anyone who is on a similar journey.
    love, annabelle

i cried for the majority of the video 😭 i went through a devastating breakup five months ago from a long-term relationship. i couldn't get myself to watch vlogs and do so many things i love doing since it happened. to return to your channel today feels like i'm catching up with a friend--crying, listening, processing, and hoping with you brought me catharsis. thank you for reminding me that it takes a lot of patience, gentleness, and grace from myself to go through a time like this. i love you, Annabelle.

I remember my 1st breakup of a 6 yrs relationship, my 1st love. It took me 2 years to fully get over it. Remember to take your time and feel everything. I know it is hard. For the first 6 months i was thinking about him constantly, thoughts about what whent down, what could have been different, memmories. But it gradually goes away. These thoughts come less often throughout the day. Every minute becomes every hour, then twice a day, once a day, once a week. Its not a race to get over it. Its a marathon. Dont push it. Eventually it will pass. For everyone it passed with enough time.

Thank you for making this. My relationship of 14 years has just ended and now I live alone with my dog and work from home 3/5 days a week and I feel like I'm on a similar journey of discovery and cultivating fried ships and learning to enjoy my own time, do things I want to do. We got this!

i went through a traumatizing breakup 3 days ago. lived with my partner and moved out all of my stuff in a span of two days. i felt so strong on those two days. now the fatigue is catching up to me. altough this isn't my first breakup and i thought i could navigate it somehow more seamlessly, but boy was i wrong haha. this video came at the most perfect time. love the responses in the comments and your wise words!

hey annabelle, thank you so so much for being this vulnerable with us. reading these comments and feeling held and seen in our collective grief, but also very sad that so many of us are in pain. my partner and i broke up a month ago. i was living in the Philippines but had to return to the US for work and neither of us wanted/were able to do long distance. i feel extremely frustrated and unbearably sad at times bc neither of us wanted it to end, we still loved each other so much up until the bitter end. I'm still struggling to accept that its over, but i try not to hate myself for hoping that one day we'll reconnect when we're both in more stable situations with our careers/when I'm able to financially support myself enough to move to the Philippines (which is my long-term goal). today, something happened that led me to feeling my grief and i came to youtube to distract myself from the pain for a bit, but watching this video felt more like healing. thank you for your honesty and vulnerability, i feel less alone on this journey with grief and moving forward

Life is so crazy. I love your videos, and I’ve watched you for a long time, but when this video came out, I didn’t watch it, and knew I should just hold out for a bit. Fast forward to a month later and my partner left me after a year and a half last week, and I’m going through it, and this was exactly what I needed. Thank you Annabelle for your wisdom and insights. Thank you! I went through a breakup like 6 months ago and it’s been so up and down with healing. I’m definitely learning to prioritize and take care of myself but I’ve also leaned into it a bit too much when it comes to spending time with myself and being afraid to reach out to friends. It’s definitely something I wanna work on

I totally related to the notion that healing only means something if it's done quickly. two+ years after my break up I realize I needed the time to mourn the relationship/version of me and them and I am no longer ashamed it took me quite a while. I needed that time, and it was just a testament to how much I cared!!! Thank you Annabelle, wishing you the best .

I have always loved your videos, and this one just hits SOOO close to home. It has been a month since we broke up. I am quite literally experiencing the same thing, at the same time, and can relate to EVERYTHING you said. Especially about feeling like im in this weird limbo space of feeling bad about what I did wrong, and being angry at him for things. and just wanting the spiraling to end. but I thank you for this reminder that it is okay and normal to feel all of these things at once, and that over time it will get easier. time heals all wounds!!! its cliche but its true. you worded everything so well, and I think I am doing the right things to heal this time around. as you experience more breakups, losing people gets easier because you learn to enjoy yourself. I will come back to this vid when I need a reminder. sending lots of love, and thank u for sharing

Thank you for always being so open and honest annabelle ❤ wishing you the best! I feel like healing is such a “trust the process” type of journey (frustratingly so). It’s hard to believe we will move on or reach the end of the tunnel but one day we suddenly do. I loved looking through the books and other resources you linked, will definitely check them out! Lori Gottlieb, the speaker of the first Ted Talk you linked, has a book called Maybe You Should Talk to Someone. If you haven’t read it, I heavily recommend it! It touches upon similar themes as the Ted Talk, but expanded upon through stories and her own experiences. It helped me during a particularly difficult time; maybe you will enjoy it too!
