    I’m hearing Steely Dan / Larry Carlton / Skunk Baxter in this. Great stuff indeed. Thanks Jeff

    Listened to many of your in depth lessons over the Xmas period without a guitar and can’t wait to get home and practice all this stuff. Thanks Jeff

    Thanks Jeff! This has been just great! really enjoy how you verbalizes (and show) the chord tones over the changes. I'm sure I have heard this a million times but it is really ringing some bells. Appreciate it man!

    It seems to me that when soloing over a chord progression after all chord tones are well targeted in all chord changes, we start to become one with our instrument. We begin to use our ears to create authentic singing melodies through the guitar.

    Learning so much! Thanks Jeff. Sometimes I see minor blues tracks with a dom7 chord as the V chord. So Cm Fm and G7. Needs this chord another approach? Love your channel Jeff. The backing tracks I bought through Bandcamp are really great!!!

    • @JeffMcErlain
      @JeffMcErlain  3 роки тому +1

      Yes that is common. Just outline the V chord, so hit that B natural on the G7 chord. Easy!

    Hello Jeff. Do you think of 145 arpeggios in the pentatonic? Thanks for the lesson!

    • @JeffMcErlain
      @JeffMcErlain  3 роки тому +1

      I do yes, the pentatonic scale doesn’t cover all those notes but I am always thinking about chord tones.
