I'll always pick DB over YGOpro, but I'll agree. In DB-rated, the amount of toxic duelists is unreal, especially if you are in the middle range of rating, not low-rated nor high-rated. More than half of your opponents will be toxic and looking for opportunities to shark you. You just have to learn how to deal with that.
In a way testing vs people who try to shark and cheat you is good because unfortunately that will happen at big events. If your only testing is on ygopro, then as soon as you have to interact with a person and communicate things, that's already different from how you've been practicing.
adam favuzzi yeah but like 60% of the people on there play Dark Magician or Blue-Eyes. About 30% play random mishmash decks or Rogue decks and the other 10% just play MR3 and/or Tag.
And that's not really a good statistic since, there are at least 60--90 duels everyday. Each duel has 2 or 4 people... I barely see Brick Eyes or Dank Magicians and I play daily. Lol. I just see some bad decks. Swords of Revealing Light, set mirror force, pass. Lol.
adam favuzzi yeah, they really improved it a lot this year. Late last year-quite early this year it was quite buggy but they've definitely improved it a lot, mostly since the update that fixed cards that stack the deck.
My...god! I don't think I've ever seen something this toxic before! It's like just accept the situation and move on. Take it from someone who used ot get super salty over losing back in the day. The guy wouldn't do the 10 card banish which you are forced to do to keep it on the board, I called him out on him twice, he ignored me, I let him off with it cause I was winning with dinosaurs at this point. Then he tried to make the end effect work twice, I told him it was a hard once per turn(as it is) and he wouldn't accept it despite me sending a link to the chat of it's rulings. When he had nothing to back him, he was calling me the dumbass and how I should read the cards before he rage quite. I would say it's not the same as what that F-wit did in the video but it was still a laugh/annoying nonetheless
I'm a little confused. Is he complaining because you chose Skill Drain as the target for Afterburners? And what's the deal about discarding a spell card?
Justin Franklin as much as i despise dueling book, it simulates real life yugioh play much better than ygopro because as you’ve written, you have to talk with both the opponent and sometimes judge, which means more interaction between both players compared to ygopro. I play in rated pretty much every day for a few hours before work to test and I’d say about one in every five people either act like they don’t know what they’re doing and that leads them to cheating, they decide to rule shark over simple shit like what happened here or they just afk the dueling book community is very toxic and unstable and the admins and staff are really the only thing making the site still usable
Osiris I guess its subjective, but I don't see how anyone can sit through that cancerous attitude. Let alone the cheating and failure to activate effects correctly due to the nature of this program. Any YGOPro is better than that and theirs some pretty shitty YGOPros.
Souls Fanatic you cant use one example to judge the entire site. This happens in 1 of 100 games. A lot of people, me included dont like automated systems because its not good for testing for real life games. Also i dont enjoy the look of the automated systems
Osiris Yeah I agree I shouldn't judge it based off this alone and bumping into a toxic player is rare, but the fact that it happens at all and I'm the one who has to deal with it is a problem. From my experience, albeit short, cheats or "misplays" are far more common, like I would say 1 in 10, and that's only the ones I catch, if I paid closer attention I bet I could find more. I don't really understand what you mean by "good for testing for real life games" because any legal move in Dueling Book you can make in YGOPro. Hell, when I'm unsure of how a card actually works YGOPro makes it easy for me to figure it out, to learn timings, rulings, strategies. I can't really do that in Dueling Book because Dueling Book let's me do whatever I want. In that way YGOPro is much better for preparing my deck for real life games. Maybe what you say about "good for testing for real life games" in the fact that you could run into someone like this at a local tournament and need the experience dealing with people like that is true, but I have never encountered people like that at my locals and I definitely don't want to subject myself to that torture online. When I play YGO online I want to relax and just play the game, I dont want to have to worry about nitpicking my opponent when the computer can do it for me, that's just extra unnecessary stress. Astetics are arbitrary, honestly, I could care less what a game looks like only that it works, and a game that allows cheats and whiny players to bitch at a judge to resolve an issue, in my own opinion, is not a working game.
Afterburner doesn't target the backrow only the monster, he destroys the backrow on resolution. It's not even sharking the draco player is just wrong. The monster goes to grave THEN he destroys a backrow.
TBH this is why i play on Nexus for serious duels. It forces the rules and the interactions are correct. No need to call an admin because someone is taking 2 seconds to resolve an effect
Šedou Šedou, lol same. Convenient, and I'm planing on downloading it once I get a gaming laptop around next year cause my parents are cheap and they basically wait a year for me to buy something expensive
...And this is why I don't use Dueling Book. I already used Dueling Network, and that non-automated stuff was tedious. At least you can't cheat in YGOPro.
I really like Duelingnexus. Not only are there not much Salty players, opponent barely talks, lol. I be like: Gl hf. 77% of the time, my opponent doesn't respond back. Lol And, it's auto, so you can activate Desires and it'll banish 10 and give you 2 automatically. Pretty neat. And if you wanna activate cards in draw phase, you must have Manual turned on. I always forget that. I have like Anti Spell and my opponent activates a spell and I'm like: I dun goofed. There's also a Discord server, very cool. Met some really cool people, nice and all but also met idiots. "Uwu, Handtraps are cancer. Let's ban everything and restart" Nah, not gonna happen. Do you know what stopped Ftks, first turn extra linking and setting up for handlooping? *Chuckles* It was Handtraps.
Daniel Scott, DN? Dueling Nexus? Lol, I'm dueling with someone I don't know at first and then become friends on Discord. No big deal. Online friends are still people. Wouldn't discriminate them since you don't know them. They sometimes ask for age and then they respond back with 21. Lol. They're not that old.
You should turn this into a series: toxic duelists on Dueling Book. This was hilarious

Every community has its black sheep...if you don't stumble upon scrubs here, you will _elsewhere._
dev pro all day.
Afterburner doesn't target the backrow only the monster, he destroys the backrow on resolution. It's not even sharking the draco player is just wrong. The monster goes to grave THEN he destroys a backrow.
Lmfao - made my morning'
TBH this is why i play on Nexus for serious duels. It forces the rules and the interactions are correct. No need to call an admin because someone is taking 2 seconds to resolve an effect
Šedou Šedou, lol same. Convenient, and I'm planing on downloading it once I get a gaming laptop around next year cause my parents are cheap and they basically wait a year for me to buy something expensive
But
Nexus is shit
Is this the same guy who played sky strikers.
i appeal
...And this is why I don't use Dueling Book. I already used Dueling Network, and that non-automated stuff was tedious. At least you can't cheat in YGOPro.
didn't know dernier was such a salty one 😅
oh god. a victim complex have invaded ygo
It isn't going everywhere. Obviously it's only going to the viewers of the 2nd most watched yugituber in the northwestern hemisphere
I literally just saw this on DB
Literally why I don’t get on db
I think you mean The Most Toxic Player...
The title as it stands makes no sense, you might want to fix that.
SmaugUKA, hm, they are basically synonyms, since Yugioh player and Yugioh duelist are basically the same thing
Jimmy You might have commented after CapG fixed the title. Before it didn't include the word "Most". That's what I was commenting about.
I really like Duelingnexus. Not only are there not much Salty players, opponent barely talks, lol. I be like: Gl hf.
77% of the time, my opponent doesn't respond back. Lol
And, it's auto, so you can activate Desires and it'll banish 10 and give you 2 automatically.
Let's ban everything and restart"
Nah, not gonna happen. Do you know what stopped Ftks, first turn extra linking and setting up for handlooping? *Chuckles* It was Handtraps.
This is why you can't play on DN with anyone you don't know in person. DB is trash
Jimmy By DN I think he means Dueling Network, i.e. the website which got shut down for copyright infringement but was then replaced by Dueling Book.
fuck evenly matched
