I'm curious how you see your GS dogs. Once I had discussion with my colleauge, owner of 1 year old labrador and he said that his dog behaves as child. I explained that my GS I could compare to a behaver of teenager who always want to try something new and have a fun. GS will not hesitate to achieve its goal using intelligence, they are learning by observing the environment and they learn not necessarily what we like. GS challenges owner by intelligence and we always had to have our GS on radar although she was friendly. My GS never lost mind, she calculated pro/cons of any action, so she was in one way predictable. Are golden or labradors more childish in a relation to the owner vs GS? I had 1 GS who passed away in 2015 so I am curios of opinion of another owner and I like this breed.
I have no experience with other than German Shepherd Dogs and some Dobermanns along the way as well. The smarter GSDs are "thinking" dogs and it seems like what you are saying about their observing and assessing. GSM
