Nice work Dego! Good helmets like Sedici's line are not cheap. Consequently, there is a definite need to measure the circumference of one's adult melon, in inches or centimeters, and know the correct size for certain (e.g., S, M, L, XL, XXL) for proper fit of a moto helmet. Then try them on for final fit and features. Like clothes, even minor differences in your right size might not work right. Never try to 'break in' a helmet due to style or rep.
Yogi 2.0 off topic but the sedici brand is completely hit or miss. I have 2 pairs of gloves from them one fell apart and one held up great. My sedici jack which I gave to a friend is really good and got it for a great price. The helmet from them is okay, doesnt exceed expectations nor completely miss them.
I picked up one a Cycle Gear on sale. My Grom only goes so fast, so I am not having many of the issues you noted. At full retail it seems to have build quality of some of the higher end helmets. At sale price (119) it's a bargain.
It doesnt have the same build quality. Visor screws fall off, vents are fragile, ratcheting system for visor sucks, doesnt vent well, doesnt seal well, chin curtain breaks, no multilayered eps to save your valuable head. Its not a bad helmet it just doesnt stack up with the standard. Ive owned one for 5 years.
I think you should have got a medium in that helmet. My husband got a medium in that helmet and after break-in, it fits like a glove. As for me, I got it in a small, (previous helmet was a medium and moved too much on the highway) and I had a lot of hot spots on the sides of my head. I find this helmet to be more of a long oval style helmet.
Did you figure out how to stop the whistle
