My wife and live in America and in BGC. We own a house in America and a condo in BGC. A lot of vloggers have made the comment that BGC is very Americanized. This implies that BGC is trying to mimic America. Since I live in both places, I find this statement to be so far from reality. Look very closely at what you are seeing and experiencing in BGC, and then ask yourself where you have seen and experience that in America. For example, are pets allowed in malls and restaurants in America? Do they have pop up libraries in America? Does America have those electronic ordering pads at fast food restaurants and coffee places? Not that I know of. There are many things that you see and experience in BGC that you don’t see elsewhere. Did you know there is a cinema in BGC where you watch a movie in bed? Actually, BGC has taken city living to the next level. There is nothing like it in the US.
Ah you're living my dream, eventually we would like to live between the 2 countries. I've only been to America twice and it reminded me of there, I didn't spend long enough there to get the full BGC experience that's for sure. I heard about the cinema with beds in! We've got one here with recliners (in Wales, UK) but I find it far to relaxing and practically fall asleep 🤣
In comparison to the rest of the Philippines, yes BGC is definitely Americanised, the overall look of the streets looks similar to those in the US. I don’t think she meant it in that much detail
I really enjoyed the way you blog! Yes, I love BGC I was there in December myself and enjoyed 5th Avenue High Street and Uptown as well. I think Venice Canal is considered BGC as well
It's a great place! Haha the last time we were here I went to Venice Grand Canal Mall, sooo many people commenting that it wasn't BGC so I had to make the effort to go here 😂🥰
I love BGC. Phiilippines is the place to be. Try to visit Podium, Megamall and Shangrila Mall in Mandaluyong. In Pasay/Paranaque, In Entertainment City are Mall of Asia, IKEA, S Maison, Solaire, Okada, City of Dreams. In Newport Ciity there's Resorts's World Manila, Newport mall, Hilton Casino. Okura, Sheraton. In Makati there's Greenbelt 3 & 5, Glorietta, Ayala Triangle.
Thank you for the recommendations, we made it to Mall of Asia and I've been to Greenbelt previously but a few places you've recommended are on my list too... definitely next time 🥰
I've been in BGC in 2010, and it wasn't that developed yet. Hope I could visit again and see how develop the place is...
It's absolutely huge now! I just need to go back in the daytime so we can actually see it properly 😂

Such a beautiful country with so many great places to experience 😊
when you stopped, i was thinking what did you say, is it "mall or mole or more"? 🤣
Haha I was so confused 🤣😊🤣
It's because she was deciding between the British and American pronunciation of the word mall.
@@FunkyChild718 my kids always tell me I say it wrong 🤣
A middle country
In what sense? 😊
Hi Rebecca new subscriber here, are you married to a Filipino or a tourist?
Hi Andrew, thank you😊 I'm married to a Filipino (24 years, together 26) 😊
