The entire soundtrack from Phantasy Star IV can be its own list. To this day - imo - it has the best gaming soundtrack from beginning to end of any game I've played.
My childhood was flashing before my eyes while hearing "Ice Cap Zone" from Sonic The Hedgehog 3 music theme song lol. Those days were the best! =D

Vectorman had some kickass tunes for real!
The soundtrack of Comic Zone and Sonic 3 is in addition to the excellent, gameplay and the beautiful 2 D optics on the system a real feast for the eyes.

Это не новое видео! А немного переделанное старое, так как прошлое видео было заблокировано в некоторых странах. Правда, пока я вносил изменения, блокировка с прошлого видео уже была снята. Но чтобы не пропадать добру решил его также залить на канал. К тому же к прошлому видео у многих были претензии в использовании не оригинальных треков с консоли и качеству звука.
Поэтому были внесены следующие изменения:
- улучшено качество звука;
- теперь все треки оригинальные - EarthWorm Jim 2, Mortal Kombat 3; а для X-Men 2: The Clone Wars и Vectorman микс из оригинальных версий и треков с альбома Sega Tunes;
- немного изменен порядок треков;
- частично улучшена картинка.

Ah I see.. but why does this version sound different tho (Earth Worm Jim, Mortal Combat and others - still sounds great and is a much appreciated upload but just curious why it's changed slightly?). I have the first version on my mp3 player and I listen to these all the time! I love them so much it really takes me back the good ole days. Thank you! :-)

this one just has more bass, and a bit clearer. To be honest though, its almost TOO high quality, and doesnt give as accurate representation of when we played these 20 years ago. but hey, A for effort?

Cool video. Streets of rage 2 & sonic the hedgehog tunes r hands down the best here. However i personally prefer your super Nintendo videos, the tunes are so much better quality wise then 99% of these megadrive ones!

This is overall a pretty great list. I'd have some slightly different choices for certain games, but on the other hand you've got not one but two Norio Hanzawa tracks on here! NON doesn't get enough rep for the work he did for Treasure back in the day.
Oh boy, so many great games and melodies, I swear I'm going to play those until I grow old and die. And if I have kids one day I'm going to teach them how to play these games first and not Call of duty and those modern craps.

The Vectorman songs are bugging me. That is definitely not the songs from the game.
I've noticed that certain songs sound a bit different. For instance, in your original vid, you used a sega cd version of a song rather than the original fm synth version. Not a problem though.

Not a single Toe Jam and Earl song? What about Strider, Altered Beast, Space Harrier, Phantasy Star 2, or Outrun? There is so much more. Could have used way more Sonic 2 or Streets of Rage 2.

It's interesting how extremely creative, detailed and ornate the sprites in Earthworm Jim are, yet it feels very flat as it lacks layers and scrolling techniques. While it's certainly not the most impressive game on the Mega Drive, the SNES was definetely the stronger platform after all.
