As a resident yone player, this is a much needed buff. Let me explain. The reason why yone has been building bruiser items lately (stride, jak'sho, iceborn etc) id because they now have very little incentive to go crit. This is because all the crit items have been heavily balaenced around ranged champs - so melee crit users such as yas, yone and trenda have switched to bruiser as they can live longer. Now, all of the bruiser items got nerfed, and that meant that even tho tempo is back - going bruiser means you cannot scale hard, and crit was frankly useless because the itemisation is poor. The crit buffs means that you get more bang for your buck when building crit, and pushes them back to their ORIGINAL class of being skirmisher assasin instead of bruiser of fighter.
He will just have 2 strong builds. They need to guy his soul unbound thing to nerf his bruiser build if they want to bring the assassin build back . Yone is actually more unhealthy than Yasuo because he’s the only assassin type that trades like a mage/bruiser type.
Champ's not been relevant for quite some time now. And he's kind of a poster boy at this point, of low elo feeders who powerspike at 0/10. Cut him some slack.

the last time riot tried this nerf with Mundo, his win rate dropped below 40% immediately and they had to revert the nerf the following patch. The thing about tanks is they have to do one of two things or they're useless. They have to have crowd control, or do damage. Mundo has no crowd control, if you nerf his damage then he becomes worthless. I don't understand why this is so difficult for riot to grasp and they keep trying the same things when they don't work. Expect for Mundo to be worthless in 14.20, and then receive a reversion on the nerf in 14.21 yet again. Riot will probably try it in season 15 too xD
The idea of a tank should never be for them to do damage... If Mundo can't exist without doing stupid damage, then Riot have just fumbled with designing him to not fit the role they want him to be in.
@darkdemon9013 tank should be a priority target for the enemy team, because if he is not, then he is not a tank. He either deals solid damage to force enemies try and unalive him quickly, or he does some nasty CC to force enemies try and unalive him quickly. See why?
Just a reminder Aphelios used to get 10 AD per Q level up before Season 14. For some reason Riot nerfed it all the way down to 4.5 per Q level up at the start of Season 14. And offered no explanation as to why. Why exactly did Riot feel the need to randomly nerf a 46% winrate Champion again?
All i have to say is that 3 of my friends and i hopped into quickplay. The first game got smacked late game by a volibear and nasus because we didn't have scaling. We said screw it, i went mordekaiser jungle, buddy went scion support, other friend cho gath mid, and top was illaoi. The only squishy was a tristana adc. We didnt even have to think that game, tanks are impossible to kill. If you have more tanks than the other team and youre average you just win.
I LOVE the changes honestly. It's feels so much better and much less hard to crawl back into the game if you got stomped in Lane because not everything's being dictated by who gets their first two items now. I LOVE the current patch. Aaaaaand they're fucking it up again by buffing YONE of all champions. WHY.

i really don’t like this patch, games are much more swingy, i don’t like games where i win even though i played horribly, just because I had one good teamfight. if they REALLY want to reduce snowballing, they need to change the map and reduce the power of runes

A simple Nautilus ulti and some well fed let say Viego or Yone coming in while you airborne and you got easily deleted, even with enchanter like Lulu or Milio helping you
I can't KILL squishies with Talon, the one thing an Assassin is supposed to do. I come back for the Talon emote only to find Riot is biased against assassins. I've heard some Talon mains saying they have 42% WRs at the moment.
I'm in the same boat right now. 2.5 million points on Talon. I've never thought about dropping him before but he's unplayable. So long old friend. Maybe riot will finally allow ad assassins to be a class sometime this season.
@@williamdiamant457 I'm not a Talon main but i've got 2 on my list. They have decent wr (emerald and plat) but they've felt the changes too. Apparently the best way is to literally ROAM ROAM ROAM. Take advantage of waves and catch people offguard. Your ability to 100-0 someone doesn't exist anymore so being a second jungler is pretty much what they've been doing from what I can understand. Not the best/most ensured way to win but... thats all they can do for now ;c

Still had a decent wr with talon last season but he's just not fun to play anymore. Vex has been able to scratch that assassin itch for now but we'll see what happens with all the preseason changes. Nothing is safe to solo main right now.
They still didnt change the passive of statiks wtf, since 30 days, it has like 80% winrate in high mr aram, its passive deals 10k dmg in 5 minutes is just crazy overpowered, its the first time in the history of league that aram is no fun at the moment, i mean i could abuse it myself but its so strong in aram that it gets boring pretty fast

idk i prefer not getting one shot by assassins that only land half of their abilities and actually having room to outplay stuff because you dont get point and click murdered by a single button press.

as a syndra main, I had no issues in Split 2, now I had my champ get banned way more often in 14.19, and now my core items get nerfed in 14.20. Miserable
Some champs deal less, damage, some champs it didn't affect. If I can still get 2 hit by jhin when I build full armor and health, the items are still shit and riot doesn't know how to balance anything when there are 200 champs in the game.

as a riven main i agree, for now she is just missing something like max health dmg for more counterplay vs tanky champs but this buff is better than nothing
I think it is a worth to wait how it goes type of buff. Not a "5 ms" type of useless buff (fortunately), also not a "now it is broken" type of buff (fortunately). Probably more changes are there to come for many champions and hopefully tabis gets a real nerf soon because it is super broken right now. After all of that we can decide the real value of this Riven buff.
personally, I think the item overhaul has been pretty good, BUT I think they could go even further. Put that power into the champions themselves (and runes if they want). Heroes of the Storm had no items and just champs with talent choices, and it was still fun and competitive. I don't think League needs to go THAT far, but I do think they could go further
as someone who has put countless hours into riven i dont cafe for the item changes. I feel like scaling champions just walk all over fighters now regardless
The game is starting to feel good, better team fights slightly longer but it still feels a tad bit bursty and one shorty. But I'm loving the direction at this point, might be playing a bunch when these go live. Also side note the yone and yasuo buffs are questionable in my opinion. Yone who has an absurd amount of cc in his kit and being able to burst down an adc from across the screen and yasuo who just autos you without relying on his skills in most cases is just too much.
To me honestly I’ll have to say I’m not the best at league because I don’t put a lot of time into the game like I used to, to include I don’t play rank either, i wouldn’t say I’m bad at the game it’s just I don’t like being the reason that I’m holding others who uses rank to learn the game, so I don’t know what rank I’m at now before I quit rank I was at silver 2 but that’s not important here. But with the item changes I can say it actually helps a lot with learning the few champs that I want to get good at, despite putting little time into that game, before 7 out of the games I play would be loses, but now it’s. 4 out of 10 games just with the item changes. I don’t feel like I’m super behind anymore when I do fall behind, like I’m able to catch up given time.
I wish more attention to top lane, the meta is super tank skewed, but they had some good nerfs on poppy and morde. Super happy about ap JG nerfs, they've been too safe and strong to scale especially when they "spike" on first back.
I really miss the old hextech GLP that shoots ice spikes to slow enemies in a cone with mana and cdr for 2800 gold, and the old protobelt that provides you a burst of 230-ish magic damage to either minions or champions or both and a little dash every 40 seconds for a low low price of 2500 gold. If they're not gonna keep everfrost then at least give me back my GLP and old protobelt, man. The new rocketbelt sucks a lot compared to protobelt
People saying that 48% win rate WindBrothers are strong must lose a lot against them... literally this season I played vs both of them a lot with my Vex and have 100% win rate. Just counter pick them as you do with other champs and you are fine. Yone is super squishy and Yasuo lacks range abilities. Dont overstep your authority and they wont be able to hunt you down, ez.❤ Overall good changes, last patch indeed changed the flow of the game. Many my games last like 30+ mimutes, which is actually fun.
I absolutely hate these longer games. They aren't longer because they are more competitive, it's just less damage, so by the 30 mins mark I'm just bored. Even if we're winning...
I guess they keep wanting the "skill-based champions" (Yasuo and Yone) be once again OP in the hands of the skilled and at 50% for the noobs and those randomly jumping on the champs.
I don't understand why or how people can say Udyr is broken. Everyone says he's very good and S tier when I personally think he's a useless character. I played 10 games with him and ended up 0-10 in all of them. The character has terrible ganks, 0 mobility when he doesn't have E+E and even then he falls short. If you use liandry you're a melee, paper character, with almost 0 cc and 0 mobility, not to mention that AP has no synergy with your passive, since it scales with attack speed. If you use a full tank you have 0 damage and are completely ignorable, a mediocre and bad version of Volibear. I don't understand how Udyr can have more than 50% winratio, you have to be a real noob for an Udyr to kill you in your lane and for him to win the game by himself.
Simples the fact, eVery Champion hás kit for reason, instead of play what IS op, try to read and learn the Champion, tô know what to do and when, isnt only about smash the 4 buttons and you fights or games. If you mais something and know How It Works you can Win hard and Win alot in eVery elo. I already Saw tryndamere mains Win games vs Full Tanks and Full cc teams in grand master and master elo. And why? Champion is Op? Nop. They know How kit and How to play it
If he has more than 50% WR is because the players really know how to play him. An Udyr well played is so fucking anoying, give a lot of preassure, can't never chase him, his R deals lot of dmg just by existing, doesn't even need to hit you with aa. A good udyr player makes a lot of difference in gamplay and even in tf.
How is the yun tal change a buff? It reduces damage by 5 and bleed damage by 10 for 250G less. There is no way this is considered a buff as the stats on the item are already horrendous to begin with. Late game there is never a reason to pick it up and early it's too weak to pick up without having high crit.
Well if they go through with the udyr changes, no point to keep going. Champion falls off a cliff later & horrible if behind. No nerfs to kaisa R or Garen AGAIN, udyrs an issue but full AD assassin top with zero counterplay for a 700 - 900 true damage ult rank 1, isnt op? Cool. No buffs to naafiri jungle, no nerfs to qiyana jungle. As usual, like they dont play the game.
All in all, this whole patch is an indirect Garen buff. I really appreciate that, as i play him mid lane. Can´t wait to spin over those "buffed" Yasuo and Yone mains. DEMACIA!
League should base buffs and nerfs on win/loss percentages, not personal preferences from the devs. The game would be more balanced if decisions were made from data, not opinions. These changes seem to be based on Phreak’s personal favorites, which is why so many players are leaving, AFK-ing, trolling, cursing, blaming, playing other games, and even burning out. If he set aside his personal bias and used AI tools for help, this wouldn’t be happening. League of Legends isn’t your game-it’s for the players. Ik :( I'd love to have her W bouncing back with her. Some years ago it was like that, then it got nerfed and then deleted. But at least nerfed is the only way she can deal dmg in a 1v1. Her scalling is great but can never play 1v1 even ahead

Don't think this riven buff gonna be enough tbh but still better than nothing for an ad champ reliant and regarding to her current state (all her items had been nerfed).
She needs better HP or any sustain tbh. Her Q damage was fine but the lack of sustain after goredrinker was removed just put her so far down.
as a riven main i agree, for now she is just missing something like max health dmg for more counterplay vs tanky champs but this buff is better than nothing

I think it is a worth to wait how it goes type of buff. Not a "5 ms" type of useless buff (fortunately), also not a "now it is broken" type of buff (fortunately). Probably more changes are there to come for many champions and hopefully tabis gets a real nerf soon because it is super broken right now. After all of that we can decide the real value of this Riven buff.
I don’t mind meta right now since I primarily play tanks, fighters, and then kindred. But I do think assassins need SOMETHING.
personally, I think the item overhaul has been pretty good, BUT I think they could go even further. Put that power into the champions themselves (and runes if they want).
Heroes of the Storm had no items and just champs with talent choices, and it was still fun and competitive. I don't think League needs to go THAT far, but I do think they could go further

as someone who has put countless hours into riven i dont cafe for the item changes. I feel like scaling champions just walk all over fighters now regardless
The game is starting to feel good, better team fights slightly longer but it still feels a tad bit bursty and one shorty. But I'm loving the direction at this point, might be playing a bunch when these go live. Also side note the yone and yasuo buffs are questionable in my opinion. Yone who has an absurd amount of cc in his kit and being able to burst down an adc from across the screen and yasuo who just autos you without relying on his skills in most cases is just too much.
Veigar should have more cdr on e instead than less scaling on spells. Adding 6 second cdr on e would really balance the champ.

To me honestly I’ll have to say I’m not the best at league because I don’t put a lot of time into the game like I used to, to include I don’t play rank either, i wouldn’t say I’m bad at the game it’s just I don’t like being the reason that I’m holding others who uses rank to learn the game, so I don’t know what rank I’m at now before I quit rank I was at silver 2 but that’s not important here. But with the item changes I can say it actually helps a lot with learning the few champs that I want to get good at, despite putting little time into that game, before 7 out of the games I play would be loses, but now it’s. 4 out of 10 games just with the item changes. I don’t feel like I’m super behind anymore when I do fall behind, like I’m able to catch up given time.

I wish more attention to top lane, the meta is super tank skewed, but they had some good nerfs on poppy and morde. Super happy about ap JG nerfs, they've been too safe and strong to scale especially when they "spike" on first back.

I really miss the old hextech GLP that shoots ice spikes to slow enemies in a cone with mana and cdr for 2800 gold, and the old protobelt that provides you a burst of 230-ish magic damage to either minions or champions or both and a little dash every 40 seconds for a low low price of 2500 gold. If they're not gonna keep everfrost then at least give me back my GLP and old protobelt, man. The new rocketbelt sucks a lot compared to protobelt
People saying that 48% win rate WindBrothers are strong must lose a lot against them... literally this season I played vs both of them a lot with my Vex and have 100% win rate. Just counter pick them as you do with other champs and you are fine. Yone is super squishy and Yasuo lacks range abilities. Dont overstep your authority and they wont be able to hunt you down, ez.❤ Overall good changes, last patch indeed changed the flow of the game. Many my games last like 30+ mimutes, which is actually fun.

I don't understand why or how people can say Udyr is broken. Everyone says he's very good and S tier when I personally think he's a useless character. I played 10 games with him and ended up 0-10 in all of them. The character has terrible ganks, 0 mobility when he doesn't have E+E and even then he falls short. If you use liandry you're a melee, paper character, with almost 0 cc and 0 mobility, not to mention that AP has no synergy with your passive, since it scales with attack speed. If you use a full tank you have 0 damage and are completely ignorable, a mediocre and bad version of Volibear. I don't understand how Udyr can have more than 50% winratio, you have to be a real noob for an Udyr to kill you in your lane and for him to win the game by himself.
Simples the fact, eVery Champion hás kit for reason, instead of play what IS op, try to read and learn the Champion, tô know what to do and when, isnt only about smash the 4 buttons and you fights or games. If you mais something and know How It Works you can Win hard and Win alot in eVery elo. I already Saw tryndamere mains Win games vs Full Tanks and Full cc teams in grand master and master elo. And why? Champion is Op? Nop. They know How kit and How to play it
If he has more than 50% WR is because the players really know how to play him. An Udyr well played is so fucking anoying, give a lot of preassure, can't never chase him, his R deals lot of dmg just by existing, doesn't even need to hit you with aa.
A good udyr player makes a lot of difference in gamplay and even in tf.

How is the yun tal change a buff?
It reduces damage by 5 and bleed damage by 10 for 250G less. There is no way this is considered a buff as the stats on the item are already horrendous to begin with. Late game there is never a reason to pick it up and early it's too weak to pick up without having high crit.

Well if they go through with the udyr changes, no point to keep going. Champion falls off a cliff later & horrible if behind. No nerfs to kaisa R or Garen AGAIN, udyrs an issue but full AD assassin top with zero counterplay for a 700 - 900 true damage ult rank 1, isnt op? Cool.

League should base buffs and nerfs on win/loss percentages, not personal preferences from the devs. The game would be more balanced if decisions were made from data, not opinions. These changes seem to be based on Phreak’s personal favorites, which is why so many players are leaving, AFK-ing, trolling, cursing, blaming, playing other games, and even burning out. If he set aside his personal bias and used AI tools for help, this wouldn’t be happening. League of Legends isn’t your game-it’s for the players. Use win/loss data to make changes, not your own opinions. You’re killing our game.
The Counterclasses Diagram must be followed to maintain balance:
