HAHA that question: Braime fans, are we okay? It's 2023 and no, we're not. It would have been easier to move on from this ship if it hadn't been the most beautiful ship ever in GOT. What a lovely edit. Thank you. Miss them. I squealed when she named that sword and when he knighted her. Gosh, despite that ending, they remain one of the the best parts of GOT for me.
@E K oh gosh i knew better than to ship anyone in GOT, but they wore me down 😭 their relationship unfolded so beautifully you couldn’t help but root for em. on their own, they’re one dimensional characters. pure good versus pure evil. together, they opened a whole universe in each other. when he knighted her and when they got together, those were some of the most emotionally satisfying moments on TV. even that scene when they had an entire river between em, when he allowed her to escape from the riverrun siege, man. how their looks, her trust and his relief she was safe, oh how they cut through the distance. 😭💕 my fangirling heart was never the same.
@E K oh def! sigh. her naming that sword oathkeeper, is just perfect. it was just one word & already it encompasses everything they hold secret and sacred about each other, that shared history & trust. i actually waited for spoilers first. when i found out the show runners made jaime go back to cersei, i didnt watch the last season. stayed away for years but then saw gwen on wednesday & that’s all it took. still, could only watch till s8x4. even george martin released a statement that jaime was never gonna go back to cersei in the books. coz arnd s6, he was already distant w/ cersei. which is diff from the show, where he’s still under her thumb. maybe coz nik and lena were paid a million per ep. maybe had to milk their actors, dunno. it didnt make sense considering their character arcs. but despite that ending, these two shined. 💔💕 i dont wanna love em but i still do. 😭 they’re just so beautiful together.
Jaime and Brienne’s relationship is a Jane Austen romance stuck in a bloody realistic medieval fantasy story.

This is so moving, because it shows how real love touches the depth of another person and helps them be their very best. Those who love us see the best in us and draw it out. Jaime we have come to like as he as evolved into what he now is because of Brienne. Who knows? He has become Oathkeeper; she may accept what he sees: Brienne the beautiful. I just hope for one time when they say it with words. Who would have thought that GoT would come to have so much about redemption, grace, and power of forgiveness?
