Three Sides of the Coin was picked (October 2013) as a 'What's Hot' podcast by Apple's iTunes.
In the early '90s, Michael Brandvold launched the fifth ever website on the Internet devoted to KISS, KISS Otaku. He built, launched and maintained Kissonline.com (KISS' official web presence). He now owns Michael Brandvold Marketing, providing marketing services and digital strategy to musicians. Tommy Sommers spent 15 years on the record show circuit collecting, trading and selling memorabilia / Kiss merchandise. He is now a successful residential Real Estate agent in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area. Tommy has also produced a KISS song For The Oddfathers and is the owner of Rock Steady Digital Photography. Mark Cicchini, is a world renown KISS collector. KISS have used parts of Mark’s vast KISS collection for audio, video & print materials including their book NOTHIN TO LOSE, CD re release of the LOVE GUN album & the VH1 Ultimate Album KISS ALIVE! special as well as many other KISS projects. His wife also makes a mean meatloaf!!!

You guys have spent years mocking, ridiculing, laughing at, cutting down, criticizing, making fun of, bashing, defacing, humiliating, questioning, and just completely shitting all over this man. Why on earth would he agree to be interviewed by you? Has he ever listened to your show? The three of you giggling & cackling at the mere mention of his name, before proceeding to tear him apart? This is sick. Two faced beyond anything I've ever seen. You guys did not deserve to interview this gentle, misunderstood man.

Instead of focussing on what the guys have said about him in the past maybe ask yourself why Vinnie chose to be interviewed by them?
I think I know why but it appears that you dont know who or what kind of person Vinnie is and its apparent that you lack critical thinking skills.
Mike has been dissing Vinnie over the years but he doesnt seem to care about that. Thats pretty cool.
Vinnie never saved kiss kiss saved themselves from him destroying the band period!
In the 10 years before joining "KISS" Vinnie made $50,000. When he joined "KISS" he was offered $2,000. a week + all expenses paid when travelling 1st class aor, food & hotels, etc. VUT that wasn't good enough for Vinnie.
For a guy who was living in his car and couch surfing prior to joining "KISS" he became greedy & wanted more then he was worth especially when you consider "KISS" was at an all time low period or time in there careeer
I think Vinnie's plan was to use "KISS" as a catalyst, to gain popularity, learn from Gene & Paul, bank some money & rake advantage if his time in tbe recording studio after the "Creatures Of The Nite" tour ended where he never intended on staying in the band and that is why he never signed the contract. When Vinnie lef5 he took his demos with him and based on stories out there who knows what else he took (stole)?
Although he contributed some goid co-writes & songs on "Lick It Up" Vinnie didn't save "KISS" he couldn't even save himself.
VV fans have to be the most delusional, oddly loyal people in the world. He rips off and lies to his fans consistently and still people don’t care. All he does now if do interviews...AWKWARD INTERVIEWS at that. Plays only parts of songs if any at all and looks weird doing it. Didn’t he scam his fans back in the day for some cd or dvd that never was delivered and no one got their money back.

Did Vinnie save KISS? Well...I had a conversation about Vinnie with Dana Strum back in 1992. Keeping in mind that this was a time when Dana would speak negatively in the press about his time in the Invasion, Dana did acknowledge that Vinnie DID save KISS.

Why so short? It's obvious he wants to talk for hours. Vinnie comes off as a kind soul, which is opposite of what Gene/Paul described him in KISS. So I'd wish Vinnie would be asked about why KISS thought he was given the keys to the kingdom and why he blew it. Gene/Paul made him sound like his ego was huge which is the complete opposite of now. Maybe Vinnie has matured, but that would be my 1st question.
Because this the time the QA was allotted at the convention. If you have ever interviewed people you would realize that isn’t a question that is going to be answered.

Sorry but Vinnie did not save Kiss...Eric Carr saved Kiss he was the one that gave Kiss the kick in the ass that was needed...Good interview though
Sorry but Eric didn’t save KISS. He was only doing what he was instructed to do. Besides, his first two albums didn’t exactly set the world on fire. And one album didn’t even tour and the second the tour was cancelled.
Prove what? It is all facts that I stated. You can’t dispute that. How about you prove your claim, since you were the one that made it and I replied with facts. And using opinion isn’t proof... meaning “kick in the ass” is not proof.
@@MichaelBrandvold Why so hostile...i have my opinion and i'm entightled to that the same you entightled to have yours. Not once did i say Vinnie was not a big part of bringing Kiss back. Yes he wrote some great songs with Paul...but if your honest with yourself he was a sloppy player live and wanted his name up back the stage. I also said it was good interview...and all i get back from you is ego and hostility. Yes you have had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing our idols but this does not give you the platform to talk down to other fans that have differant opinion to yours....after all we all in the same army are we not?
@Lou Orlando i agree some what, like i said in previous post Eric gave Kiss a good kick in the arse, but it was Paul that kept the band alive in the mid to late 80s. cuz Gene was to busy in Hollywood with his ego to contribute anymore than a song or 2 for each 80s album. Even Gene himself has admitted that he was present in those years but was not there. An for Vinnie well i said it before the man/whatever could write hell of catchy song and play his arse off in studio, but live Vinnie was sloppy an all over the place again EGO. Michael seems to think that he knows all, all he has is an opinion just like us.

rian settles Yeah he has always been very charming but apparently behind the scenes he's not the same, he has psychological problems but I don't know what. A lot of people have said that he's sensitive and emotional, but also an asshole, liar, flaky and egomaniacal.

Vinnie is only showing those there his good side. I suggest you listen to the countless interviews out there with those who have worked with him or dealt with him, you will see who the real Vinnie is.
I love the inspiration the Wiz gives. I want to rock the darkness like Vinnie rocked The Nightmare on Elm Street. I love to see the underdog beat incredible odds. It doesn't matter whether the main character wins or loses, it's the strength it takes to play the game in the nightmare. I'm still fighting to overcome my fear of the rats in the walls. Keep playing in the shadows after you wake up screaming, that's the one guiding light. Sincerely, a horror writer.
