Grinder is more than good enough for home owner use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 I used it along with 4” chainsaw disc to knock of the tops of some large roots that interfere with my mowing. Doing this will reduce my trimming time greatly. As far as the grinder my only problem is I’m a lefty and like all other power tools I have to find a comfortable position to hold the tool without hitting the power switch. Most all tools are designed for righties. But overall good power not to heavy. Great tool!!!

все хорошо, но я бы перед покраской зачистил сварочные швы. и неплохо было бы вместо зажимов ключом придумать что-нибудь более быстрое. например, эксцентрик. или в крайнем случае что-то типа больших барашков.

Good idea, but you risk your grinder in over heat bcuz of the load carrying heavy. The design of that device is computed according to its capacity of load although it's working but expensive to buy another if trouble occur.

Если заготовка вылетит , мало не покажется, а также черновую обдирку делают полукруглым резцом.

Nice little lathe. The only change I'd make is to change the toolrest from a piece of angle iron to either round bar or flat bar on its edge or even top edge tilted slightly towards the wood..
The flat edge on the angle iron requires that you use the lathe tool straight in. This is called "scraping" and is really only suitable for bowls using relatively narrow tools and simple profiles.
This lathe is more of a "spindle lathe", you want more slicing action - with the tool edge tilted up. The round or flat bar allows you to do that while keeping the support point closest to the work. You can still "scrape", but you'll thank me for the additional flexibility.
Slicing goes MUCH faster than scraping, and gives you far more flexibility with the tools.

6000-8000 rpm that angle grinders are typically running is way to fast. for wood lathe you should only need 1000 rpm at high torque. you need to reduce the speed 6:1
