Forgot the Net and it Cost Me!

Tough day on the Willamette. Landed nothing but dinks and lost a few nice fish close to the yak. Did manage to catch a channel cat on Ned rig which was kind of fun. Not boring since the dink action was pretty steady but not a day for the books. Part of the difficulty is that they just put in the flashboards at the falls to raise the upper river 3' for summer recreation. At least I have a palpable excuse for my day :)

I like to use my shirt as protection while I just grab the line directly and hand reel it in 1 fathom at a time. Like I'm looking at my pole begging it not to break
