I loved this song throughout the second half of the game, but the moment it truly hit me was when the cutscene in Prox ended, and I exited the town. That final overworld section... running to the Mars Lighthouse, raging blizzard, swirls of wind and snow, and the red lighthouse resting by an empty void, with this music playing... it was the moment of truth, the culmination of everything we had worked toward up until that point.
Don't forget he is also the composer in Eternal Sonata, Baten Kaitos 1 and 2 as well as many other games. Mostly he does for RPG. Motoi Sakuraba is one of my favorite video game composers.
To this day, very few map themes come close to this one. This theme made the game for me. I would kill to hear this, along with the whole soundtrack, with real instruments
Truly it fits it's own title perfectly. Imagine going on a journey and playing this theme....or maybe just taking a stroll down the block can be an adventure while listening to this. Its amazing.
I felt so important when this was playing in the background. like i was destined to fight for wut i believe in. If a song can make u feel dat way, then it's badass. This is one of em!
It makes me daydreaming, really.... Who didn't imagine himself as one of the Adepts encharged to save the world after listening to this? Destiny is in our hands, everyone! And Golden Sun teaches that. Truly epic.
The music was made by the same composer -- Motoi Sakuraba. he does the music for all GS/Tales/Star Ocean games, and everyone of those games get high ratings for their themes. Although repetitive, they're beautiful.
Heard first time when Felix and Issac join forces in Contigo. Best world map music IMO. This ties with Venus Lighthouse theme as my favorite track from the game.
Yea, I get it, but still man with this theme playing you feel like you can go anywhere and do anything. This theme reminds me of many travels, through the Northern Mountains and Southern Sierra of Mexico. Ah, good times.
Feeling down and blue suddenly this pops up...Makes that blue just a bit more broad a Horizon in the Distance is So gdanm wonderfull when you need it this really was an erriplacable RPG
Still I found most of his music from other RPGs than Golden Sun to be not quite as awesome, with some exceptions like "Epic Tale of Holy Death" from Valkyrie Profile - excellent series, by the way.
@HeyWheresKel Oh men!, I was playing near to the 3 AM... and I start to... cry?... scream? "woooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh"....
Eh, well if you studied any world history and mythology you should know that many of the mentioned locations in the game were once real in our world and on that particular time people thought the world was flat. Furthermore, alchemy was at some point in time the ruling science, until chemistry arose during the Enlightenment thanks to Lavosier. The summons themselves are mythological in nature, just think of the game as a mythological journey made sort of real. :)
Oh man. I remember leaving Contigo after joining forces with Isaac's group, and this music started playing. I was overcome with emotion.
Same here, one of the best moments as a videoplayer
Fun fact: "Contigo" means "Together" in spanish (most talked language in the continental equivalent of where the jupter lighthouse is)
Sat there for 2 hours listening to it when it happened
Listening in 2019, never gets old.
Still listening to this music in 2016.
Golden Sun and Golden Sun TLA has the best music ever. It was and it is still the best RPG game ever on GBA.
Every time i listen to this song it takes me back to when i was a kid.
This song, fills you with DETERMINATION
wrong game

Hell yeah, probably one of the top World Map themes of all time alongside the overworld of Wild Arms
Working on it! :D
Aiven all right! I wish you the best of luck.
This is the best overworld map theme ever made.
Truly it fits it's own title perfectly. Imagine going on a journey and playing this theme....or maybe just taking a stroll down the block can be an adventure while listening to this.
Its amazing.
Actually, the composer who made the music for the Golden Sun series was Motoi Sakuraba, the same man who made the music for Tales of Symphonia. :3
Still listening in 2022... 😁✨
This is why Sakuraba is my all time favorite composer.
Golden Sun has the best music qualitity for the GBA plus it is the best GBA game for me of all time!
I felt so important when this was playing in the background. like i was destined to fight for wut i believe in. If a song can make u feel dat way, then it's badass. This is one of em!
this song means so much to me.
Me too bro, the nostalgia is strong in this one.
Same here. Best overworld theme in any RPG, easily.
It makes me daydreaming, really....
Who didn't imagine himself as one of the Adepts encharged to save the world after listening to this?
Destiny is in our hands, everyone! And Golden Sun teaches that.

This theme reminds me of many travels, through the Northern Mountains and Southern Sierra of Mexico. Ah, good times.
What could have inspired Mr. Sarkuraba to make such epicness I have no idea but would most assuredly like to find out.
Lol nice avatar!! Great, epic, brilliant, touching and inspiring song, by the way! This game has one the best soundtracks I have ever heard.
this is the best world map music in any game ever made period end of story don't argue
Best music ever. If you disagree you are wrong
I always just get out of the boat, just to listen to this...
Awesome!!! Thanks for uploading.
My head is overflowing with flashbacks :)
Such a well put together piece.
Definitely has that Motoi sound, but is it not enjoyable?
Especially the bass?
It's just great!
Reuniting with the Isaac's team next week on my gaming channel!
Feeling down and blue suddenly this pops up...Makes that blue just a bit more broad a Horizon in the Distance is So gdanm wonderfull when you need it this really was an erriplacable RPG
Then you remember the not-so-erriplacable (is that a word?) sequel.
VanCan23 what about dark dawn
VanCan23 dont tell me felix is so full of rainbows they had to skip out on the second part because enuendos were forced too bluntly
@Gravy2468 Although I do agree with you, someone disagreeing with you is NOT wrong. He just have different taste. You gotta respect that.
@lndignant No, unfortunately not, I got my Gamecube only a year ago and used games aren't available for less than 50€.
Why? Is its music even better?
Hell, when I played this game I was constantly wishing this world was just a little bit like Weyard.
@greendagger87
Nobuo actually considered him his favoirite video game composer at one point.
So he even thinks so. :D
This is the only song you can play on your phone when walking to and from classes.
I AM SO VERY DE-STINED TO FAIL SO HARD
SO VERY HAAAARRRDD.
@LionelMessi1337
1 year ago Comment I know.. but it's called the Golden Sun rises or something like that, and is now uploaded. :p
oman, I remember after inputting the long ass code to get issac's party save data from GS 1 and hearing this.....isaac is back, time to own bitches
OBJECTION!
Saturos' Battle Theme.
'nuff said.
Best game ever!
@axnasia1 Well, GSTLA is still a bit too Young to be called classic Jewel. But I'll agree with you that it was a badass game.
I've got that one, I'll upload it.
Golden sun is THE rpg game.
