This game would massiveky benefit from an experienced tech artist. The way some of these assets look like they're taken from different unity/unreal packs is jarring at times. RVTs could visually save this game.

Will be the first game I install on my Quest 3 when it arrives! Zenith continues to be my favorite thing to do in VR 😻

@@tji7046 mostly I really just enjoy being in the world it creates. I play solo most of the time and there is always something I can do in the game. I find the grinding enjoyable, capturing creatures while going on a chest opening run is always a great way to spend an hour or two and doing public events with the people I meet is always a good time. Also helping anyone who I meet in game that needs help. I always do my best to make sure new players feel welcome.
@@meep5886 I think the updates they did for the Quest 3 are very noticeable. Everything is cleaner and the draw distance is much better. Sure, you still see floating balls instead of full avatars at times, but it is more focused and directional now. By that I mean it renders what you are interacting with much quicker and pushes the rendering to that as opposed to trying to render your entire surroundings at once, like it seems it did before.
I wasn't sure if I needed a Quest 3 but WOW that is an uprade. Looks like PC on lower settings which is insane. Since Zenith is my go to VR game currently...

The only difference i can notice is that they added grass
everything looks more natural - even in the first few seconds you can see the reflections in the floor of the neon light, the sunlight shining through the top of the dome, and other key visual details @@janchan2258

I already pre-ordered the quest 3, and this just made me want to get back into the game and experience the difference once it arrives. The quest 3 looks like RTX compared to the quest 2!

Looks to be a huge improvement which is awesome, but the whole game could use a big graphics overhaul. Side by side the visuals look much better, but if I just saw the visuals on Quest, it still looks bad. The game seems to have a general lack of artstyle with many conflicting colors, shaders, and UI elements. I know that there is still a lot of work being done gameplay wise, but a graphics upgrade is desperately needed
It’s mostly the quest versions, the pc and psvr2 versions look pretty fuckin great, but yeah the quest versions could both use some work still
I feel like its more comparison bias. Yeah, they look way better compared to quest, but i feel like they all need an overall revamp. The PCVR version kinda seems to get carried by post processing and VFX @@Rose-ew7bv
Am I missing something here because my game does not look like this on my Quest 3?
Due to me no longer owning a Quest 2, nor having played Zenith, I would like to ask an ignorant question: For the Quest 2/3 comparisons, were the in-game settings the same for both previews, or are they altered? In the quest 2 overview it looks less like “these are the same settings but this older headset looks worse” and more like “the quest 3 can handle more, so I can tweak my in-game settings from potato to moderate”
Would love a response on this, since I’m considering the Quest 3 myself!
Even in lowest settings, q2 struggles to get 70 fps. And it looks bad. I'm excited to see the difference when my q3 comes in, as pcvr is annoying to set up sometimes
Most Quest games have no real graphics settings you can change. They're all identical hardware so they typically get identical settings.
@@Thezuule1 zenith is unique in the sense that there are some options to change on standalone.

My quest 3 version seems to run horribly, I don’t see near as much grass or anything even in the dense setting.. doesn’t seem anything like the video
Cannot wait to get myself a quest 3. I haven't played Zenith in months because my left controller broke on ny Quest 2, and since Quest 3 was coming soon, I decided to just hold off on replacing it and getting a quest 3.
Left controller is cursed... Mine has crapped out twice, the stick. This last time I just stopped playing and started waiting for the Q3. Played PSVR2 exclusively for months.. Want to get back into Quest games so bad! I miss contractors.
Really hope these sticks don't suck as much as the Q2 sticks..
@JimmyNuisance yep same thing by broke I also meant the left joystick just keeps drifting forward, pretty much making everything unplayable 😢

Portal 2 VR is available now on PC if you have access to one. It's pretty great.

I'd rather have fewer effects and a sharper optics developer. Or maybe the choice between more effects or sharper visuals. I think the edge flickering is strong in your title.

I play the pc version with my quest 2 but im gonna get a q3 and give my q2 to my cousin, the graphics will be the same wont they ? since im playing on pc already
No the graphics won't because you are not playing on a PC monitor you Are using a PC as a go between and the quest 2 is only so powerful . The quest 3 has higher output and better graphics and passthrough.
The graphics output by your GPU will be the same but the optics and display on the Quest 3 are much improved so it will look better.

It doesn't look as pretty as the PC version or PSVR 2, but it's definitely a big step up from Quest 1/2 and looks on par with the base PS4 on the original PSVR, I can't wait to see what the developers come up with in the future with Quest 3 hardware.
I'm curious to see if Quest 3 games will be on par with the PS4 or even reach the level of the PS4 Pro, which would be incredibly insane for a standalone headset.

Very hard to tell a difference by this video; also, no dynamic shadows like on the PC version, at least a toggle for those of us who want it.

@@Nohkral Oh really? I thought it was supposed to look better. That would be nice if it was near PSVR2 quality. I think I remember the PSVR1 having grass and better water. I could be wrong though.
@Drstrange3000 ye he's talking shit, no way the quest 2 is better than psvr1, but the quest 3 is better, but still not close to psvr2. Only in a few small environments maybe, but not a bigger world.
@adrianrabe2099 odd I see alot of screen door effect when using psvr1. I'm not talking about this game. Just in general I think the meta 2 head set makes games look better
@@Nohkral I believe the Quest 2 is definitely clearer than the PSVR1 by a lot but the PSVR1 definitely has better graphics. Clarity with the Quest 2 lens helps a lot.

Buyer beware: this is NOT how the game looks at all on Quest 3
you have to adjust your quests graphical and resolution settings
Quest 2 does not look like this on standalone, it barely looks like 10% of what's shown here. This is 100% connected to PC.
Will the improve graphics work on the CV1 Rift or is this strictly a Quest 3 version?
hm what you talking about? quest 3 is catching up to CV1 rift in graphics, it doesn't need improvement. Although the Rift is old tech, so that's probably your issue.
@@allreli6943 What I'm asking is whether this improved version will work on CV1 or is it strictly for Quest 3. What kind of issue are you talking about? Game works fine with Rift CV1. No issues there. The graphics are not as detailed as shown in the Quest 3 version currently. Even with everything turned up. I'm not talking about the resolution, although that's part of it, but the special lighting effects. If you ever looked at the resolution of Elder scrolls you can see what the rift is capable of. The problem usually with higher resolution is bandwidth, and that's not going away in a meta 3 using wifi vs a rift using 1 gig ethernet.

This is still a huge milestone. You are forgetting VR is newer tech and it had to dial back to mobile hardware to take off. It will only get better.
You get that a PS2 was targeting 480p at 30 fps right? If the Quest hardware only had to render at that low resolution it would stomp a mudhole through a PS2.

As a PCVR quest2 gamer I was always put off by XR2 graphics, but these finally look good enough to compete with PC.

As a PC user I'm far more concerned about the bad dungeon system where everyone just speed-runs everything instead of actually completing the dungeon and lack of synergy between abilities. Without any crowd control or things of the sort there's really no reason to actually dungeon crawl and just sprinting to the end and fighting the boss makes sense, but that's the fault of the game mechanics not the players simply playing the game they've been given. On top of that, as a mage DPS, I feel like it doesn't matter at all what abilities I use or when, you just hit buttons and stuff dies. This makes the gameplay get old quickly. I stopped playing after the dungeon queue system dropped and I realized nobody intended on actually running the dungeons. I have been hoping for a rework of the way this game plays and I've heard there are changes to the way talents work and all this. With any luck this starts to play more like an MMO and less like a button smasher.

It did, maybe you played on PC through air link. I distinctly remember disregarding the standalone version and playing it exclusively through pc oculus app.
Either way… this video is a lie the game does not look like that in Quest 3. It’s a bullshot video.

If genshin looks good on my 2020 phone..why can't zenith look good on the quest? I'm sure there's a way to drastically up the quality without hindering performance
Because your phone only pretends to look good. VR is pushing 2 high res monitors without dropping framerates (usualy streaming over a network). its not even close to being the same thing.
I don't know, maybe it's because VR is more demanding, you do know that right.
It has to render two screens at once instead of one, so it requires more power by default than pancake gaming.
Because your phone literally plays at 30 or 60 fps with 720p resolution
@@allreli6943 I'd argue the mobile version of genshin looks better than the PC version of zenith. I honestly think I rather has something to do with it being their first time/first game & not being as experienced
If only I could get a refund, because they’ve screwed this game for Quest 2 for the past year-most of its lifecycle-apparently using my money to build the Quest 3 version, instead of building the Q2 game well. They didn’t plan their map, at all, and so everything additional has gone through “portals” (loading screens to a dungeon, “new world,” etc., that cuts your comm with your party. Pretty garbage.
Honestly, I've played the game in beta on PCVR and they screwed this game for PCVR since the beta for developing the extreme lowend Q2 version.
Almost nothing has changed since the beta, the unfinished UI, stuff in the game missing, etc. They added the cooking that looked like a $5 asset from Asset Store and that was about it.
Only after launch they started doing updates that changed the game to better but I gave it 20 minutes on launch and left disappointed, not played it since.
@@Draxi_1 Hey there It hasn't been fully released since it is still in pre-release as of now. They are always working to improve the UI but it takes time and they also have been working hard on the Q2 preformance and are trying to make it use 100% of the quest 2s hardware. An example of this would be "Freeing memory" Screen that randomly appears when loading into certain area's they have made a lot of progress on that but optimizing RAM usage is a task that takes a lot of time to get right. So umm anyway there are some rlly exciting things to look forward to.

I, too, would like to see Zenith in normal quality on my Quest 2 and PCVR. Because either I will wait Quest 4, or I will buy Quest 3 - but only when I see something cool on AR. And it probably won't happen very soon.
Such bs I was originally going to comment kudos to the devs for making a Quest 3 upgrade,,, but I just got the quest 3 today and the game looks nothing like this. In fact people are saying it runs worse than the Quest 2 version because of the “enhanced” graphics. This game is completely butt ugly on Quest 3. Stick to the PC Version and disregard this video in its entirety.
